- Clinical Care & Emergency Response: The DMO provides immediate medical care and acts as the first responder for medical emergencies, including "Code Blues" and ICU emergencies. They stabilize critically ill patients and initiate immediate treatment in the emergency room.
- Inpatient & OPD Management: DMOs manage ward inpatients (IPD) by conducting daily check-ups, monitoring vitals, prescribing medication, and initiating treatment plans. They assist consultants during rounds and handle patient consultations in the OPD.
- Medical Procedures & Documentation: DMOs perform clinical procedures (e.g., dressings, IV cannulation, catheterization, suturing). They are responsible for keeping accurate, detailed medical records, including daily progress notes and discharge summaries.
- Coordination & Communication: They act as a bridge between nursing staff, consultants, and patient families, providing updates and educating them on treatment plans. They inform specialists about patients’ conditions.
- Administrative Duties: DMOs assist with admissions, discharge processes, and obtaining informed consent. They ensure compliance with hospital protocols and, in some cases, oversee the general hygiene and functioning of their assigned wards.
Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
