About Sri Jain Jewel Park
Sri Jain Jewel Park is a growing jewellery retail showroom in KPHB Colony, Hyderabad. We are looking for an experienced and responsible Senior Cashier to manage daily cash transactions, customer payments, billing coordination, cash reconciliation, and related cashiering activities.
The ideal candidate should have strong numerical skills, good communication, attention to detail, and preferably prior experience in a jewellery showroom or high-value retail environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Handle daily cash counter operations and customer payment transactions.
- Receive cash, card, UPI, bank transfers and other approved payment modes.
- Ensure accurate collection of customer payments against invoices.
- Coordinate closely with the Billing, Sales and Accounts teams.
- Verify bills, receipts, payment details and transaction entries before completing collections.
- Maintain proper records of all cash and non-cash transactions.
- Perform daily cash counting and reconciliation.
- Prepare daily cash collection and payment reports.
- Ensure cash balance matches the system and physical cash at the end of the day.
- Handle cash deposits and coordinate with the bank whenever required.
- Maintain proper documentation for bank deposits, receipts and other financial transactions.
- Monitor and maintain the cashier counter with proper security and discipline.
- Verify high-value transactions carefully before accepting or processing payments.
- Coordinate with the Accounts Department regarding discrepancies, pending payments and adjustments.
- Assist in resolving customer payment-related queries professionally.
- Ensure proper handling and confidentiality of financial information.
- Follow all company policies, cashier SOPs and internal control procedures.
- Support the management and Accounts team during audits and financial verification.
- Ensure all transactions are properly entered and documented without delays.
- Report any cash shortage, excess, suspicious transaction or discrepancy immediately to the concerned authority.
- Maintain a professional appearance and provide courteous service to customers.
Jewellery Industry Experience Preferred
Candidates with experience in jewellery showrooms, gold retail, diamond retail, luxury retail, banking, or other high-value retail businesses will be preferred.
Experience handling large-value customer transactions and maintaining strict cash controls will be an added advantage.
Candidate Requirements
- Minimum 3–7 years of relevant cashiering experience.
- Jewellery showroom experience is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of cash handling and payment reconciliation.
- Good understanding of billing and customer payment processes.
- Excellent numerical and calculation skills.
- Good knowledge of MS Excel and basic computer operations.
- Experience with POS/ERP or jewellery billing software will be an advantage.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to handle confidential financial information responsibly.
- Should be trustworthy, disciplined and reliable.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple transactions during busy hours.
- Willingness to work according to showroom timings and business requirements.
