As we expand our footprint beyond India, we are seeking an experienced export leader to spearhead our international business and establish Oh! G Snack as a trusted global FMCG brand.
This is a strategic leadership role for an experienced export professional who can independently build international markets, establish long-term distribution partnerships, and lead the complete export function from market development to commercial execution.
Position Summary
The Head – Exports will be responsible for driving the Company's international business growth by developing new export markets, appointing distributors and importers, managing strategic customer relationships, and overseeing the complete export lifecycle.
The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in FMCG exports, international trade regulations, export documentation, global logistics, and distributor management. The candidate should have an established network of importers, distributors, retail buyers, and channel partners across key international markets.
This position reports directly to the Founder and will play a critical role in shaping the Company's global expansion strategy.
Key ResponsibilitiesInternational Business Development
- Develop and execute the Company's global export strategy.
- Identify, evaluate, and penetrate high-potential international markets.
- Appoint and manage importers, distributors, and strategic partners.
- Lead commercial negotiations and finalize distribution agreements.
- Drive sustainable export revenue growth across assigned territories.
- Build long-term relationships with international customers and channel partners.
Market Expansion
Lead expansion across strategic international markets including:
- Middle East (UAE, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Oman, Kuwait, Bahrain)
- North America (USA and Canada)
- Asia Pacific (Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand)
- Europe
- United Kingdom
- Africa
Identify new market opportunities through retail, foodservice, ethnic channels, modern trade, wholesale distributors, and online marketplaces.
Export Operations
Take complete ownership of the export process, including:
- Export documentation
- Commercial invoices
- Packing lists
- Certificates of Origin
- Shipping documentation
- Bill of Lading
- Airway Bills
- Customs documentation
- Export compliance
- DGFT procedures
- IEC compliance
- Shipping coordination
- Freight forwarding
- CHA coordination
- International logistics
- Insurance
- Bank documentation
- Letter of Credit (LC)
- Advance payments
- Export incentives and government schemes
Ensure smooth execution from purchase order to final delivery.
Regulatory & Compliance
Ensure complete compliance with international regulations, including:
- Country-specific import regulations
- Product registration requirements
- Label compliance
- FDA requirements (USA)
- FSVP coordination
- Food safety documentation
- Health certificates
- Phytosanitary requirements, where applicable
- Customer-specific compliance requirements
Work closely with regulatory consultants, freight partners, certification agencies, and government authorities.
Customer & Distributor Management
Build and manage relationships with:
- Importers
- National distributors
- Regional distributors
- Supermarket buying teams
- Foodservice distributors
- Wholesalers
- Retail chains
- Ethnic retailers
- International e-commerce partners
- Private label buyers
Maintain strong customer engagement while ensuring sustainable business growth.
Trade Development
Represent the Company at:
- International trade exhibitions
- Food expos
- Buyer-seller meets
- Trade delegations
- Government export promotion initiatives
- International business forums
Generate qualified business opportunities and convert them into long-term partnerships.
Commercial Management
- Prepare annual export business plans.
- Forecast export demand and sales.
- Develop pricing strategies for different markets.
- Manage export profitability.
- Negotiate commercial terms with international customers.
- Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue targets.
Cross-Functional Leadership
Collaborate with Operations, Manufacturing, Finance, Supply Chain, Marketing, Quality Assurance, Regulatory Affairs, and Product Development to ensure timely execution of export orders and successful international product launches.
Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate should possess:
- 8–15 years of experience in FMCG exports.
- Strong preference for candidates from the snacks, packaged foods, beverages, confectionery, or consumer foods industry.
- Proven experience in developing international markets.
- Demonstrated success in appointing importers and distributors globally.
- Strong understanding of export documentation, logistics, shipping, customs, and international trade regulations.
- Experience handling distributor agreements and international commercial negotiations.
- Strong business acumen and relationship management skills.
- Willingness to travel internationally as required.

Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business, International Business, Commerce, Management, or a related discipline.
- MBA in International Business, Marketing, or Supply Chain Management is preferred.
- Additional certifications in Export Management, International Trade, or Logistics will be an advantage.

Pay: ₹40,000.00 - ₹80,000.00 per month
