Role & Responsibilities:
With a vision to replace traditional UIs with Agentic AI workflows where possible across all platforms, we are seeking a highly skilled individual to join our team working on development of large-scale equity analytics applications. The role combines deep backend engineering expertise with emerging Agentic AI technologies to build intelligent systems that drive business value.
This is an individual contributor position. The selected person would be part of Global Analytics Dev team in GES Technology and hands on lead AI initiatives across entire analytics suite of applications. It is very high ownership position as the entire product suite is delivered and managed completely out of Mumbai.
Key responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain robust backend services and APIs for our large-scale application.
- Architect and implement Agentic AI workflows that transform passive & complex UI click based workflows into interactive conversational requests towards enhancing user experience
- Integrate AI agents with existing backend systems, ensuring seamless data flow and system reliability
- Develop and maintain scalable micro-services architecture to support AI agent orchestration and coordination
- Understand the existing business functions and participate in defining new solutions that meet business objectives.
- Work with the product team, stakeholders and end-users for contribution towards requirement discovery and project prioritization.
- Design and develop high-quality software deliveries within the committed deadlines.
- Agile –participate in weekly scrums
- Collaborate with various development and support teams across regions
- L3 support – quick support resolution of production and user issues, application testing and maintenance releases. Interface with other support teams, global internal and external clients related to support, use and output of the products. As part of global team, act as key contact point for queries of both technical and functional nature.
- Problem ownership – from Incident to resolution. Root cause analysis & fixes for maintaining and improving system stability.
- Willing to own deliveries and work hands-on across all aspects of software delivery including development, testing, documentation and support.
Key Skills:
- Investment Banking domain - Good understanding of capital markets
- Knowledge of Equity Trading Markets – especially Compliance related issues and challenges
- Excellent technical skills in
- Strong Core Java
- MS SQL or similar DB, SQL
- UNIX
- DevOps – CI/CD, Gitlab, Nexus
- AWS
- Very strong Java Multi-threading – concurrency, synchronization and memory management
- Strong knowledge and experience of distributed systems, micro-services architecture and RESTful API design
- Demonstrated experience with LLM APIs and AI agent frameworks
- Understanding of prompt engineering, RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation) and agent orchestration patterns
- Very detail oriented with excellent analytical skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Highly proactive and takes initiative to identify problem areas and evolve solutions.
