Job Description
Team Leadership & Supervision Manage and lead a team of treasury specialists or analysts, assigning tasks and ensuring timely execution. Provide coaching, performance feedback, and support skill development within the team. Monitor daily operations and resolve escalated issues related to payments, cash flows, or banking transactions. 2. Cash & Liquidity Management Oversee daily cash positioning and fund transfers to ensure adequate liquidity across business units. Approve and monitor internal and external funding, including intercompany loans and working capital movements. Ensure efficient utilization of cash, including short-term investments where applicable. 3. Banking Operations & Relationship Management Maintain strong relationships with banking partners; oversee bank account structures, services, and signatory updates. Ensure optimal bank account management and negotiate better terms for fees, interest rates, or services. Monitor compliance with banking covenants and service agreements. 4. Payment Oversight Review and authorize high-value or sensitive payments and ensure adherence to internal control protocols. Ensure segregation of duties and compliance with payment approval hierarchies. Troubleshoot payment issues and support resolution with internal teams or banks. 5. Cash Forecasting & Treasury Planning Review and validate short-term and long-term cash flow forecasts prepared by the team. Analyze variances between forecasted and actual cash flows and identify improvement areas. Collaborate with FP&A, business units, and finance teams to improve forecast accuracy. 6. Foreign Exchange & Risk Management Supervise FX exposure tracking and hedging activities, if applicable. Work with treasury leadership to implement risk management strategies to mitigate currency, interest rate, or liquidity risks. Ensure compliance with internal policies and accounting standards for derivative instruments. 7. Treasury Systems & Process Improvement Manage the treasury management system (TMS) and ensure its effective use by the team. Identify and implement process improvements or automation to enhance treasury operations. Support treasury-related system upgrades, integrations, or implementations. 8. Reporting & Compliance Review and approve treasury reports (e.g., cash position, FX exposure, bank balances, loan schedules). Ensure compliance with internal controls, SOX requirements, and audit standards. Prepare or review documentation for internal and external audits and regulatory reporting. 9. Debt & Investment Management Support Support senior treasury management in managing corporate debt facilities, interest payments, and maturity planning. Monitor investment of surplus cash in line with company policy and risk appetite. 10. Stakeholder Communication Collaborate with controllers, FP&A, legal, and tax teams for treasury-related matters. Communicate treasury insights, forecasts, and issues to finance leadership. Participate in treasury policy development and help enforce corporate treasury policies.
