About Hero Motors

Hero Motors Limited is a part of Hero Motors Company (HMC), a diversified conglomerate with a presence in cycles,
automotive components, e-Mobility, real estate and premium retail, with a group revenue of USD 500 million
(approx.). Hero Cycles Ltd., the flagship company of HMC is the oldest and the largest cycle company in the Indian
subcontinent.

Hero Motors Limited (HML) is the automotive businesses of the HMC group with operations in Asia and Europe and
several joint ventures with reputed companies in the automotive and e-mobility space. HML comprises of 3
business verticals, namely Gears & Transmission (we do business with BMW, Ducati etc) Bike Powertrain (making
CVT engines for the European market), Alloys & Metallics (working with clients like the Indian Railways and other
eminent companies in India). The joint ventures companies are in the space of Chassis Systems (ZF-Hero) and
brake discs & drums (Munjal Kiriu).
HML's latest division, Bike Powertrain is expanding into new product segments like EV Motors & E-Drive Systems,
under the brand name of ESYNC. Under the ESYNC brand the company develops complete e-bike systems for the
European and for other key emerging markets. The joint venture with Yamaha has enabled HML to develop State-
of-the-art e-bike HUB motors.
Position Details
Position : Manager Function : Program Management
Reports to : Deputy General Manager
Location : Narasapura Industrial Area, Kolar
(Bengaluru)
Specifications
Experience (in years) : 8 to 10 years
Industry Preferred : Gear manufacturing industries
Qualifications : BE/B. Tech. (Mechanical)
Roles & responsibilities
Customer interaction for technical and commercial finalisation of project
RFQ disposal received from customer, with collaboration of cross functional team
Quote preparation and submission within defined timeframe
Conducting project kick-off meeting to distribute the necessary information about the project
Define timeline of the project
Daily meeting with all stakeholders for project updates
Expedite the process if required and escalation to management in case of risk of failure
Identify the risk and it's mitigation plan
Samples submission to customer within defined timeline
Payment follow-ups with customers for development tooling and samples
Charter preparations and discussion with all team members
Responsible for handling internal and external customer audits
Functional competencies Behavioral competencies
Basic Knowledge of Gear manufacturing.
Knowledge of project Management.
Capex and Customer handling.
Good attitude and eager to learn.
Innovative.
Goal-oriented.
Good written & verbal communication.
