About The Role
We are seeking a seasoned data professional with experience in fast-paced environments to lead our data infrastructure development and governance efforts. This role will report to the Director of Data Strategy within the Data, Strategy, and Integrations organization, with a strong dotted-line alignment to Product - ensuring priorities are directly driven by the product roadmap.
This role is critical to maintaining and accelerating the foundation of Global Dining’s Product analytics and AI capabilities. You will build and scale the unified data architecture that underpins the product roadmap- owning pipelines, data models, and reusable datasets that directly accelerate product initiatives and data operationalization across the enterprise. This work ensures the continued evolution of a forward-looking AI strategy by strengthening the underlying data platform required to support it.
As an analytics infrastructure subject matter expert, your work will focus on proactively identifying, designing, and implementing process improvements to enhance the efficiency, performance, and reliability of our data pipelines, while improving scalability and maintainability. It will include optimizing existing code and data architecture, engineering new integrations, and creating reusable, governed datasets that enable faster product development at scale.
As a governance subject matter expert, your work will focus on driving data security and leading the regulatory and contractual compliance initiatives across our infrastructure. You will partner with Compliance and Privacy teams to complete Information Security assessments, ensure alignment between third party services and Amex requirements, and coordinate service contract renewals – maintaining the integrity and reliability of our analytics ecosystem.
Finally, as a member of a lean data team, you will oversee a wide range of responsibilities, including partnering with cross-functional stakeholders to identify key data initiatives aligned to product priorities, managing project intake, and developing training programs to enhance self-service data capabilities across the organization.
