Job Description – Interior Designer

Position: Interior Designer

Job Summary

We are looking for a creative and detail-oriented Interior Designer who can understand client requirements, develop innovative design concepts, prepare drawings, and coordinate projects from design to execution. The ideal candidate should have a passion for design, strong communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects.

Key Responsibilities

Meet clients to understand their requirements, lifestyle, preferences, and budget.
Conduct site visits and take accurate measurements.
Develop creative interior design concepts and space planning.
Prepare 2D drawings, 3D visualizations, layouts, and presentation materials.
Recommend suitable materials, colours, furniture, lighting, and décor.
Prepare project estimates and material specifications.
Coordinate with project managers, site supervisors, vendors, and contractors.
Monitor project progress and ensure quality standards are maintained.
Resolve design-related issues during project execution.
Stay updated with the latest interior design trends, materials, and technologies.
Ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field.
1–3 years of experience in residential or commercial interior design (Freshers with strong portfolios may also apply).
Strong knowledge of space planning, furniture design, and material selection.
Excellent creativity, communication, and presentation skills.
Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.

Technical Skills

AutoCAD
SketchUp
V-Ray / Enscape / Lumion
3ds Max (Preferred)
Adobe Photoshop
Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

Preferred Skills

Strong client handling and presentation skills.
Knowledge of modular kitchens, wardrobes, false ceilings, and custom furniture.
Understanding of construction methods and site execution.
Problem-solving and attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Performance Expectations

Deliver innovative and functional design solutions.
Maintain high customer satisfaction.
Ensure design accuracy and execution quality.
Complete assigned projects within agreed timelines.
