Job Summary
We are looking for a confident, energetic and target-oriented Sales Representative to join our Vellore team.
The candidate will be responsible for expanding Otomatiks’ presence across schools and educational institutions by identifying potential schools, generating leads, meeting decision-makers, presenting our programs, following up with prospects and converting opportunities into successful partnerships.
This is a field sales role and requires regular travel within Vellore and nearby areas.
The ideal candidate should enjoy meeting people, communicating with school management, building relationships and converting opportunities into business.
Key Responsibilities1. School & Institutional Outreach
- Identify and approach potential schools, colleges and educational institutions.
- Visit schools and meet Principals, Correspondents, Management, Academic Heads and other decision-makers.
- Introduce and explain Otomatiks Robotics, AI, STEM, coding and related educational programs.
- Generate new institutional leads through field visits, references, networking and other channels.
2. Lead Generation & Conversion
- Maintain a consistent pipeline of prospective schools and institutional clients.
- Schedule meetings, presentations, demos and follow-ups.
- Understand the requirements of each institution and recommend suitable Otomatiks programs.
- Follow up regularly with decision-makers and move prospects through the sales process.
- Negotiate and close school tie-ups and program opportunities.
3. Relationship Management
- Build strong and long-term relationships with school management and key stakeholders.
- Maintain regular communication with existing clients and identify opportunities for additional programs.
- Collect feedback from schools and communicate requirements to the internal team.
4. Sales Targets
- Achieve weekly, monthly and quarterly sales and lead-generation targets.
- Maintain accurate records of leads, meetings, follow-ups and conversions.
- Provide regular sales reports and updates to the reporting manager.
- Continuously identify new areas and institutions for business expansion.
5. Events & Promotions
- Participate in school exhibitions, workshops, seminars, education fairs and promotional activities.
- Support the team in organizing school demonstrations and awareness programs.
- Represent Otomatiks professionally during external meetings and events.
6. Internal Coordination
- Coordinate with the Robotics Trainers, Operations and Management teams for demos, workshops and program implementation.
- Ensure smooth handover of converted leads to the relevant internal team.
- Keep the management updated on market feedback, competitor activity and new business opportunities.
Candidate Profile
We are looking for someone who is:
- Confident and comfortable speaking to new people.
- Excellent in Tamil and English communication.
- Presentable, professional and persuasive.
- Energetic and comfortable with field visits.
- Highly target-oriented and self-motivated.
- Good at follow-ups and relationship building.
- Willing to travel within Vellore and nearby locations.
- Able to communicate the value of educational programs clearly.
- Comfortable using WhatsApp, Google Sheets/Excel and basic digital tools.
- Passionate about education, technology and working with schools is an added advantage.
Education
Any Bachelor's Degree is preferred.
Candidates from backgrounds such as Business Administration, Commerce, Arts, Engineering, Education or Marketing may apply.
Freshers with strong communication skills and a genuine interest in sales are welcome.
Experience
- Freshers can apply.
- 0–2 years of experience in Sales, Business Development, EdTech, Education, Field Sales or Institutional Sales is preferred.
- Candidates with experience in school sales or B2B sales will have an advantage.
