Position

Assistant Manager/Deputy Manager – Tractor Assembly

Reports To

Head – Tractor Assembly & Testing

Place of Posting

Nagpur Tractor Plant

Responsibilities & Key Deliverables

Tractor Assembly:
Supervise and monitor the assembly line operations for tractors.
Ensure adherence to standard operating procedures (SOPs) while maintaining high-quality standards.
Troubleshoot assembly line issues and ensure smooth workflow.
Pre-Dispatch Inspection (PDI):
Conduct thorough inspections of tractors before dispatch to ensure they meet quality and performance standards.
Identify and rectify defects or issues during the inspection process.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with customer requirements.
Quality Assurance:
Implement quality control measures to improve efficiency and reduce defects during assembly and PDI.
Ensure proper documentation and reporting of quality issues.
Promote a culture of continuous improvement across the assembly and inspection processes.
Process Optimization:
Identify opportunities for improving assembly and inspection processes to enhance productivity.
Coordinate with engineering and production teams to implement process improvements.
Stay updated with industry trends and best practices to enhance operational efficiency.
Equipment & Resource Management:
Oversee the maintenance and optimal utilization of tools and equipment used in assembly and inspection processes.
Plan manpower allocation effectively to meet production and dispatch targets.
Compliance & Safety:
Ensure assembly and inspection processes comply with safety and environmental regulations.
Implement safety protocols and promote a safe working environment.
Documentation & Reporting:
Maintain accurate records of assembly and inspection activities.
Prepare detailed reports on production performance, inspection outcomes, and quality metrics for management review.

Job Requirements

Qualification + Experience

B.E. in Mechanical Engineering/Automobile with 4-8 years of experience

Industry Preferred

Automobile/Tractor company to target

Any Autocomponant

Personality Traits

Competencies

Strong knowledge of tractor assembly processes and pre-dispatch inspection procedures.
Good understanding of quality standards and troubleshooting techniques.
Ability to manage teams and coordinate production schedules efficiently.
Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
Proficiency in using tools and equipment related to assembly and inspection activities.
