Job Description

Job Summary

The Senior Area Sales Manager will be responsible for leading and managing the sales activities within a designated geographical area for Bard India Healthcare Private Limited, focusing on achieving sales targets and expanding market share for our medical devices and healthcare solutions.

Job Responsibilities

Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve and exceed assigned sales targets for medical devices and healthcare products within the designated area.
Lead, motivate, and manage a team of sales representatives, providing guidance, coaching, and performance evaluations to ensure optimal team performance.
Identify new business opportunities, cultivate relationships with key opinion leaders, hospital administrators, surgeons, and other healthcare professionals.
Conduct market analysis to understand customer needs, competitive landscape, and industry trends, and translate insights into actionable sales strategies.
Monitor and analyze sales performance data, prepare regular reports, and present findings to senior management.
Manage customer accounts, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction and retention.
Oversee the negotiation of contracts and agreements with healthcare institutions and distributors.
Collaborate with marketing, product management, and other internal teams to ensure alignment of sales strategies with overall business objectives.
Ensure compliance with all company policies, industry regulations, and ethical standards.
Participate in product launches, sales meetings, and training programs as required.
Manage sales budgets and expenses effectively.

Job Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in science background.
More than 4 years of progressive sales experience in the medical device or healthcare industry.
Proven track record of consistently achieving and exceeding sales targets.
Strong understanding of the Indian healthcare market, including regulatory environment, key players, and distribution channels.
Excellent leadership, coaching, and team-building skills.
Exceptional communication, negotiation, and presentation abilities.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret sales data and market trends.
Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with diverse stakeholders.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and CRM software.
Willingness to travel extensively within the assigned territory.
