BASIC FUNCTION
Responsible on the development of masterbatch products used in packaging, electronic appliances, consumer, agriculture, and industrial applications to fulfill customer requirements and generate business profitability.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES
Contributes to a safe work environment aligned with corporate standards and expectations to achieve Goal Zero target.
Support business growth by performing masterbatch development following Accolade stages gate process / regional procedure. Conduct all duties according to SOP’s.
Support product development and product localization and monitor scale up process.
Carry out new product development projects, liaise with the extrusion lab team in case of any quality issue on the product to determine an action for solving the problem, perform analysis on samples from trial production.
Perform benchmark analysis on competition sample, provide an analysis report, and deliver to ADTS.
Support formula recipe adjustment and modification.
Improve margin or maximize value and procurement risk mitigation by carrying out new raw materials evaluation, register for new/ change material into DQP.
Support New Product Launch by providing supporting documents such as a provisional technical data sheet on experimental data of new products
Ensure retained samples are kept in good condition and ensure cleanliness of the laboratory and equipment to maintain 5S at workplace.
Ensure effective R&D record traceability and meet QMS requirement.
Awareness of ISO 14001:2015 and the environmental policy, the significant environmental aspects and related actual or potential environmental impacts associated with the work. Contribute to the effectiveness of the implementation of the Environmental Management System, including the benefits of enhanced environmental performance.
EDUCATION
Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry or degree in polymer and material science.
WORK EXPERIENCE
Minimum 2 years working experiences in the related field is required for this position.
SKILLS

Understand the principle of analytical instruments and know how to operate the lab instruments.
Technical skills in knowledge of polymer/plastics extrusion, basic organic chemistry, analytical chemistry, and flexible packaging application.

Ability to interpret analysis result, write routine correspondence effectively and to speak fluently with internal and external customers.
