About the Role
We are looking for a talented and experienced Senior Interior Designer to join our team in Ahmedabad. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in interior design, space planning, material selection, working drawings, and project execution, along with the ability to independently manage projects from concept to completion.
The candidate should have a strong design sensibility, excellent knowledge of materials and finishes, and the ability to coordinate effectively with clients, vendors, contractors, and internal teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead interior design projects from concept development through execution and handover.
- Develop creative and functional interior design concepts based on client requirements.
- Prepare space planning, layouts, furniture plans, ceiling plans, elevations, sections, and detailed working drawings.
- Create and present mood boards, material boards, 3D concepts, and design presentations.
- Select appropriate materials, finishes, furniture, lighting, fixtures, and accessories.
- Coordinate with clients to understand requirements and incorporate feedback into design solutions.
- Coordinate with architects, contractors, consultants, vendors, and site teams to ensure smooth project execution.
- Conduct regular site visits and ensure execution is aligned with approved designs and drawings.
- Review shop drawings, BOQs, material samples, and site measurements.
- Resolve design and execution-related issues during the project lifecycle.
- Ensure projects are delivered within defined timelines, quality standards, and budgets.
- Stay updated with the latest trends in interior design, materials, furniture, lighting, and technology.
- Mentor and guide junior interior designers and design team members.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining design quality and attention to detail.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor's/Diploma degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field.
- 4–7 years of relevant professional experience in interior design.
- Strong understanding of space planning, design development, materials, finishes, and execution.
- Proficiency in design software such as:
- AutoCAD
- SketchUp
- 3ds Max / V-Ray / Enscape / Lumion
- Adobe Photoshop
- MS Office
- Strong knowledge of working drawings and technical detailing.
- Good understanding of furniture, lighting, false ceiling, flooring, wall finishes, and other interior elements.
- Ability to read and interpret architectural and MEP drawings.
- Strong client-handling and presentation skills.
- Excellent communication, coordination, and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work under deadlines.
- Ability to independently handle projects and lead design discussions.
Preferred Experience
Candidates with experience in residential, commercial, hospitality, retail, corporate office, or high-end interior projects will be preferred.
Experience in managing projects from concept to execution will be an added advantage.
