Job summary: Analytics Team at Grant Thornton INDUS Marketing are seeking a skilled and motivated Microsoft Fabric Engineer. In the given role, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining solutions within the Microsoft Fabric ecosystem. Your expertise will contribute to the optimization of enterprise data processes, analytics workflows, and system integrations, ensuring the delivery of high-performance, scalable, and secure solutions.
Key responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and maintain solutions leveraging Microsoft Fabric services (e.g., Power BI, Synapse Analytics, Azure Data Factory, Data Lake)
- Develop and manage robust data pipelines for ETL/ELT processes within the Microsoft ecosystem
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions
- Optimize the performance and scalability of Microsoft Fabric components and ensure alignment with enterprise architecture standards
- Ensure the security and compliance of all solutions by following industry best practices and company policies
- Integrate Microsoft Fabric solutions with other enterprise systems and third-party applications
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Microsoft Fabric services and associated technologies
- Stay updated on the latest Microsoft Fabric and Azure innovations and recommend improvements to existing systems
- Design and develop Power BI dashboards, reports, and visualizations to meet business requirements
- Collaborate with business users to understand and analyze their data and reporting needs
- Create and optimize data models to support efficient and scalable Power BI solutions
- Develop and manage robust data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) processes using Power BI tools and other relevant technologies
- Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and security in all reporting solutions
- Perform advanced data analysis using Power BI DAX and Power Query
Qualifications and skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience)
- Proven experience working with Microsoft Fabric services such as Power BI, Synapse Analytics, Azure Data Factory, and Data Lake
- Proficiency in designing and implementing ETL/ELT workflows and data pipelines
- Strong understanding of data modeling, SQL, and query optimization
- Familiarity with Azure services such as Azure Functions, Logic Apps, and Azure DevOps is a plus
- Experience with scripting and programming languages like Python, PowerShell, or C#
- Solid knowledge of security best practices and compliance standards (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA)
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a Team
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

- Experience with advanced analytics and predictive modeling using Power BI or other tools
- Familiarity with programming languages like Python or R
- Knowledge of other BI tools and technologies (e.g., Tableau, Qlik, or SAP BI)
- Experience with data governance and metadata management
- Familiarity with modern data platforms and cloud-native architectures
