Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and passionate Rugs Merchandiser to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the full lifecycle of our rug product categories, from trend identification and product development to vendor negotiation, inventory management, and sales support. This role requires a keen eye for design, strong analytical skills, and a proven ability to drive sales and profitability within the rugs sector. The Rugs Merchandiser will play a crucial role in shaping our product assortment, ensuring we offer compelling and market-leading collections that meet customer demand and business objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and execute comprehensive merchandising strategies for the rugs category, aligning with overall company goals and market trends.
Conduct in-depth market research and trend analysis to identify new product opportunities, design aesthetics, and material innovations in the rug industry.
Source and evaluate potential vendors, negotiate favorable terms, pricing, and delivery schedules to ensure competitive offerings and healthy margins.
Collaborate closely with product development teams to create new rug collections, ensuring design, quality, and cost targets are met.
Manage the entire product lifecycle, including selection, assortment planning, pricing strategies, and promotional activities.
Monitor inventory levels, analyze sales performance, and make data-driven decisions to optimize stock rotation, minimize markdowns, and maximize profitability.
Work cross-functionally with sales, marketing, and e-commerce teams to develop effective sales tools, marketing campaigns, and visual merchandising guidelines for rugs.
Ensure product information, specifications, and imagery are accurate and compelling across all sales channels.
Regularly visit stores and showrooms to assess product presentation, gather feedback, and identify opportunities for improvement.
Stay abreast of competitor activities and industry best practices to maintain a competitive edge.
Prepare and present seasonal product assortments and performance reviews to senior management.
