About the Role
We are looking for a skilled LabVIEW Software Developer to develop and maintain software applications for USB-based data acquisition and condition monitoring systems used for industrial applications.
The candidate will be responsible for developing LabVIEW applications for acquisition, processing, visualization, storage, retrieval and analysis of data from various sensors, including temperature, vibration, magnetic flux and other condition-monitoring sensors.
The ideal candidate should have strong practical experience in NI LabVIEW, DAQ hardware, signal acquisition, TDMS data management and SQL databases, along with a good understanding of industrial measurement systems.
Key Responsibilities-
1. LabVIEW Application Development
- Develop, modify and maintain LabVIEW-based Windows applications for industrial data acquisition and monitoring.
- Develop professional and user-friendly LabVIEW GUI/HMI for data visualization, configuration and system control.
- Develop modular and scalable LabVIEW applications using good programming practices.
- Work with VISA, DAQmx, USB, TCP/IP, Serial/RS-232/RS-485 and other communication protocols.
- Develop reusable LabVIEW VIs, libraries and software modules.
- Debug, troubleshoot and optimize existing LabVIEW applications.
2. USB Data Acquisition
Develop software for acquisition of multiple sensor parameters through USB-based DAQ systems, including:
- Temperature sensors
- Vibration sensors
- Magnetic flux / rotor flux sensors
- Voltage and current inputs
- Analog and digital sensors
- Other industrial condition-monitoring sensors
The candidate should be capable of configuring and acquiring data from multiple channels with appropriate:
- Sampling rates
- Resolution
- Scaling
- Filtering
- Signal conditioning
- Engineering-unit conversion
- Channel configuration
- Alarm/limit settings
3. Vibration & Signal Processing
Experience in vibration/condition-monitoring applications will be highly desirable.
The candidate should understand or be willing to work with:
- Time waveform
- RMS
- Peak / Peak-to-Peak
- Frequency spectrum
- FFT
- Frequency-domain analysis
- Filtering
- Sampling theory
- Aliasing
- Windowing
- Trending
- Alarm limits
- Sensor calibration and scaling
Experience with vibration monitoring of rotating machinery such as motors, turbines, generators, pumps or compressors will be an advantage.
4. TDMS Data Logging & Retrieval
Develop a robust data-management system using NI TDMS for high-speed measurement applications.
Responsibilities include:
- Continuous data logging into TDMS files
- Creating appropriate TDMS file/group/channel structures
- Managing large-volume measurement data
- Timestamp-based data recording
- Metadata and measurement configuration storage
- TDMS file indexing and retrieval
- Data search based on date/time and measurement parameters
- Exporting TDMS data to Excel/CSV or other formats
- Developing software for historical data retrieval and analysis
- Handling large TDMS files efficiently
5. SQL Database Integration
Develop and maintain SQL Server-based data storage and retrieval systems integrated with LabVIEW.
Responsibilities include:
- LabVIEW–SQL Server connectivity
- Database design for measurement/condition-monitoring data
- Creating tables, relationships and indexes
- Inserting measurement data from LabVIEW
- Retrieving historical data
- Date/time-based queries
- Equipment and sensor configuration management
- Alarm/event database
- Report generation from stored data
- Database backup and recovery concepts
- Performance optimization for large datasets
Experience with SQL Server / SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS) will be preferred.
6. Data Visualization & Reporting
Develop professional engineering interfaces for:
- Live data monitoring
- Historical trends
- FFT/spectrum displays
- Sensor-wise trends
- Alarm/event displays
- Machine-wise data
- Date/time-based data retrieval
- Reports and graphs
- Export of measurement data
The candidate should have a good understanding of presenting engineering data clearly to operators, engineers and customers.
7. Hardware & System Integration
Work closely with the engineering team to integrate:
- Sensors
- Signal conditioners
- USB DAQ hardware
- NI hardware
- Industrial communication interfaces
- Data acquisition PCs
- Server/workstation systems
- SQL databases
The candidate should be comfortable troubleshooting issues involving both software and data-acquisition hardware.

Candidates with strong hands-on LabVIEW experience and proven data-acquisition projects may be considered irrespective of exact years of experience.
Experience in industrial automation, instrumentation, test & measurement, condition monitoring or rotating machinery monitoring will be an added advantage.

The candidate should eventually be capable of independently handling the complete software development cycle from DAQ configuration to final customer application.
Practical Skills Assessment
Candidates may be evaluated through a practical LabVIEW assignment involving:
- Acquisition of multiple analog channels through USB/DAQ.
- Conversion of raw input into engineering units.
- Real-time display of temperature and vibration.
- FFT calculation and frequency-spectrum display.
- Continuous TDMS data logging.
- Retrieval of historical TDMS data.
- Storing selected parameters in SQL Server.
- Retrieving historical data from SQL.
- Plotting historical trends.
- Implementing alarm/limit functionality.
- Developing a clean and professional LabVIEW user interface.
Preference will be given to candidates who demonstrate actual working knowledge rather than only theoretical knowledge of LabVIEW.
Employment Objective
The selected candidate will become part of the company's engineering/software development team and will be involved in developing next-generation data acquisition and condition-monitoring platforms for industrial rotating machinery and other critical equipment.
The position offers an opportunity to work on real-world industrial measurement systems involving vibration, temperature, magnetic flux and other parameters, with exposure to complete systems comprising sensors, DAQ hardware, LabVIEW software, TDMS, SQL databases and engineering data analysis.
Pay: ₹312,608.51 - ₹1,001,210.52 per year
