About the Role
AI is transforming how websites get built — and at Kika, it's already at the core of our workflow. We are seeking a talented, AI-fluent Full Stack Web Developer to join our team remotely from India as a full-time contractor. You will design and build responsive, high-performance websites for a diverse range of clients, using AI tools at every stage — from design-to-code conversion and rapid prototyping to debugging, optimization, and QA — while applying solid hands-on coding skills for the customizations AI can't handle alone.
You'll take real ownership of our web development function: planning builds, setting standards, driving projects from kickoff to launch, and being the person the team relies on for anything web. This is a hands-on role for a builder — someone who leads by doing, sharpens how we work, and delivers exceptional websites at speed.
This position is partly during Canadian hours, Monday to Friday PST — usually overlapping with our mornings and evenings PST.

Compensation
₹50,000 – ₹75,000 per month, based on experience and the value you bring. We are looking for developers who operate independently from day one, own the web development function end-to-end, and raise the bar for the whole team — bringing techniques, AI workflows, and best practices that make everyone around them better.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop custom, responsive websites using WordPress and Elementor.
- Make AI a core part of your daily workflow — use AI tools for design-to-code conversion, code generation, content structuring, debugging, and QA to dramatically accelerate project delivery.
- Continuously evaluate emerging AI tools and champion the ones that improve how we build — sharing what works with the wider team.
- Own web projects end-to-end: scope, build, test, launch, and maintain — taking full responsibility for quality and timelines.
- Write and customize code (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, PHP) where builders and AI output need refinement.
- Optimize website performance, speed, Core Web Vitals, and SEO best practices.
- Develop and customize WordPress themes and plugins to meet client specifications.
- Collaborate with designers, developers, and project leads to translate requirements into polished solutions.
- Troubleshoot technical issues and provide ongoing website maintenance and support.
- Monitor and analyze website performance and report findings to the project lead.
- Stay ahead of web development and AI trends, tools, and best practices.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Web Development, or a related field — or equivalent professional experience.
- Minimum 3 years of professional experience in web development.
- Demonstrated, hands-on ability to use AI tools (e.g., Claude, ChatGPT, GitHub Copilot, AI design-to-code tools) to meaningfully speed up development — this is essential, not optional.
- Familiarity with MCP: Practical experience configuring and using Model Context Protocol (MCP) tools to feed relevant context to AI models.
- CLI AI Fluency: Hands-on experience using terminal-driven AI interfaces (like Claude Code, Codex, or Gemini CLI) beyond standard web-chat interfaces.
- Efficient Prompt Engineering: Strong understanding of advanced prompting techniques, including few-shot learning, chain-of-thought, and enforcing structured JSON outputs.
- AI-Development Mindset: A proactive approach to development, using agentic tools to write, test, and ship clean code faster.
- Proven experience with WordPress and Elementor.
- Strong proficiency in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
- Strong understanding of web performance optimization and SEO best practices.
- A strong eye for design and user experience.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong command of English with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills; able to work independently and juggle multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
Bonus Points
- Familiarity with uiChemy or similar AI design-to-code tools.
- Experience building e-commerce websites on Shopify and WooCommerce.
- Experience with other page builders (Divi, Beaver Builder, Bridge, Uncode, etc.).
- Knowledge of PHP and advanced WordPress theme development.
- Experience with version control systems (Git).
- Understanding of UX/UI principles and web accessibility standards (WCAG).
- Experience building websites for diverse industries and clients.
