Job Title: Executive – International Tax & MA Tax

Location: Mumbai/ Pune

About the department:

The International Tax & Advisory team at Nexdigm operates within the broader Direct Tax practice, focusing on the tax needs of companies engaged in cross-border business with India. Our expertise spans a range of areas including cross-border transactions, tax treaty interpretation, and regulatory matters under FEMA. Based in Pune and Mumbai, our team of 15+ professionals supports clients of all sizes across diverse sectors such as Manufacturing, IT, and Technology. We specialize in complex tax advisory, tax due diligence, and transaction advisory services

Role Description

Manage Nexdigm's end to end deliverable needs from junior to mid-management level for International Tax role

Key Result Areas:

1. Operational Compliance & Advisory

Preparation and filing of income tax returns for corporate clients both Indian as well as foreign

Preparation of monthly TDS working and quarterly TDS returns, quarterly advance tax working, SFT return, etc

Assistance in handling of dividend assignment

Providing preiminary advisory on withholding tax implications and applicable tax rates on various foreign remittances (Form 15CB issuance)

Assistance in providing international tax advisory on matters like POEM (Place of Effective Management), PE (Permanent Establishment) risk exposure, etc.

Assisting in execution of inbound and outbound tax advisories

Assisting in FEMA advisory and compliances

Assisting in executing Due Diligence assignments etc.

Assisting in UAE Tax Compliances and advisories

Handling departmental interactions including Filing rectification and refund applications, Order-giving effects, Stay applications, etc.

2. Team Management

Training and grooming of junior team members for effective ground-level execution

3. Practice Management

Ensuring timely billing of the clients on monthly basis

Assistance to seniors in collections and follow-ups with clients for outstanding dues

Required Competencies, Skills, and Experience

Post-qualification experience in Direct Tax,

Good writing and oral communication skills

Knowledge of basic IT applications like MS Office, Tally, Winman, etc.,

Working experience in the tax domain during articleship
