Roles & Responsibilities
As an SEO Intern, you will:
- Conduct keyword research using SEO tools to identify high-potential search opportunities.
- Assist in optimizing website content, blog posts, landing pages, and metadata for improved search engine rankings.
- Perform on-page SEO tasks, including title tags, meta descriptions, heading structure, internal linking, and image optimization.
- Support technical SEO audits by identifying issues related to website performance, crawlability, indexing, and user experience.
- Research competitors and industry trends to identify content gaps and SEO opportunities.
- Help create SEO content briefs and collaborate with content writers to develop search-optimized content.
- Monitor website performance using tools such as Google Search Console, Google Analytics, and other SEO platforms.
- Track keyword rankings, organic traffic, and website performance, and prepare basic SEO reports.
- Assist in backlink research and support off-page SEO activities.
- Stay updated with the latest Google algorithm updates, SEO trends, and industry best practices.
- Collaborate with the marketing and web development teams to implement SEO recommendations.
- Support ongoing website optimization projects to improve visibility, traffic, and conversions.
Preferred Qualifications
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Marketing, Business, Computer Science, Communications, or a related field.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Basic understanding of Search Engine Optimization (SEO) principles.
- Familiarity with Google Search Console, Google Analytics, Ahrefs, SEMrush, Ubersuggest, or similar SEO tools is an added advantage.
- Basic knowledge of WordPress or other CMS platforms is a plus.
- Understanding of keyword research, content optimization, and on-page SEO concepts.
- Strong analytical mindset with attention to detail.
- Self-motivated, organized, and able to work independently in a remote environment.
- Willingness to learn, experiment, and take initiative.
