Key ResponsibilitiesPatient Care & Sample Collection
- Perform safe and accurate venous and capillary blood collection.
- Collect urine, stool, sputum, swab, and other diagnostic specimens as per prescribed protocols.
- Verify patient identity using approved identification procedures before sample collection.
- Explain the sample collection procedure and obtain patient cooperation.
- Ensure patient comfort, privacy, and dignity throughout the visit.
- Observe patients for adverse reactions (e.g., dizziness, fainting) and provide appropriate first aid if required.
Home Collection Services
- Visit patients' homes according to the daily route schedule.
- Reach appointments on time and maintain professional conduct.
- Carry all required collection materials before leaving for field visits.
- Follow home collection SOPs at every patient location.
- Maintain courteous and respectful behaviour with patients and family members.
Sample Quality & Handling
- Collect the correct specimen in the appropriate collection container.
- Follow the correct order of draw during blood collection.
- Label all specimens immediately and accurately at the point of collection.
- Ensure proper sample mixing where required.
- Verify test requisitions before collection.
- Monitor specimen integrity and reject unsuitable samples in accordance with laboratory policy.
- Maintain the cold chain and temperature requirements during transportation.
- Deliver samples to the laboratory within the defined turnaround time.
Infection Prevention & Safety
- Follow Universal Precautions and Standard Infection Control Practices.
- Perform hand hygiene before and after every patient interaction.
- Wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Dispose of needles and biomedical waste according to statutory regulations.
- Prevent needle-stick injuries by following safe sharps handling practices.
- Maintain a clean and organized collection kit.
Documentation & Compliance
- Accurately record all patient and collection details.
- Update collection status using the company's mobile application or software.
- Maintain complete documentation for every collection.
- Report incidents, sample rejections, or patient complaints immediately.
- Comply with NABL quality standards, company SOPs, and applicable regulatory requirements.
- Maintain strict confidentiality of patient information at all times.
Equipment & Inventory
- Ensure all collection materials are adequately stocked before starting the day.
- Maintain the condition of collection kits and equipment.
- Report shortages, damaged supplies, or equipment malfunctions promptly.
- Monitor expiry dates of consumables.
Communication & Coordination
- Coordinate with customer support, laboratory personnel, logistics, and operations teams.
- Inform patients about fasting or other pre-test instructions when applicable.
- Escalate difficult venous access cases or clinical concerns to the appropriate supervisor.
- Maintain professional communication with patients and colleagues.
Professional Behaviour
- Be punctual and adhere to assigned schedules.
- Wear the prescribed uniform and ID card at all times.
- Maintain personal grooming and professional appearance.
- Demonstrate empathy, patience, and professionalism.
- Protect the reputation and ethical standards of NerfBlut.
- Participate in training sessions, competency assessments, and quality improvement initiatives.

Basic Requirements
- Relevant healthcare qualification.
- Good communication skills.
- Ability to travel within Hyderabad for home collections.
- Basic smartphone and mobile application skills.
- Two-wheeler with a valid driving licence is preferred.
- Willingness to work flexible shifts, weekends, and public holidays as required.
