Sales & Marketing Intern – Job Description

Carbelim Private Limited is a climate-tech company developing innovative microalgae-powered solutions for air purification, carbon capture, clean-air infrastructure, wastewater treatment, and sustainable urban development.

Our solutions are designed for industries, corporate campuses, educational institutions, airports, metro stations, hospitals, smart cities, government organisations, CSR programmes, and ESG initiatives.

Role Overview

Carbelim is looking for an energetic and motivated Sales Intern to support our sales and business development activities.

The intern will assist in identifying potential customers, generating leads, communicating with prospects, maintaining sales records, conducting market research, and supporting the sales team in converting opportunities into business partnerships.

This role is suitable for candidates who are interested in sales, business development, sustainability, climate technology, and B2B customer engagement.

Key Responsibilities

Identify potential customers through LinkedIn, company websites, online directories, exhibitions, and other business platforms.
Generate qualified leads from industries, corporates, educational institutions, airports, hospitals, government organisations, CSR teams, and ESG departments.
Contact prospective customers through phone calls, emails, LinkedIn, and other communication channels.
Introduce Carbelim’s products and clean-air solutions to potential customers.
Schedule meetings and product demonstrations for the sales team.
Conduct market research to identify new business opportunities and target sectors.
Maintain accurate lead information in the CRM or sales tracking sheet.
Regularly follow up with prospective customers and update the status of each lead.
Assist in preparing sales presentations, proposals, quotations, and product documents.
Coordinate with the marketing and technical teams to respond to customer requirements.
Support the sales team during exhibitions, conferences, customer meetings, and product demonstrations.
Prepare daily and weekly sales activity reports.
Build and maintain professional relationships with prospective customers.
Support the team in achieving monthly lead-generation and sales targets.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Commerce, Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related field.
Fresh graduates and final-year students may apply.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Basic knowledge of sales, marketing, and business development.
Comfortable communicating with customers through calls, emails, and LinkedIn.
Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, or Google Workspace.
Ability to conduct online research and identify decision-makers within organisations.
Willingness to learn about climate technology, air purification, carbon capture, ESG, and sustainability solutions.
Self-motivated, organised, confident, and target-oriented.

Preferred Skills

Previous internship experience in sales, telecalling, lead generation, or business development.
Familiarity with CRM tools and LinkedIn lead generation.
Ability to communicate in English and Tamil. Knowledge of additional languages will be an advantage.
Experience preparing professional emails, proposals, and presentations.
Interest in sustainability, environmental technology, climate-tech, or green infrastructure.
