OVERVIEW TATA Capital is looking for an accomplished Regional Head – Wealth Management to lead regional wealth business operations, drive revenue growth, expand the HNI/UHNI client base, and build high-performing wealth management teams. The role will be responsible for developing and executing the regional wealth strategy, strengthening distribution channels, managing business performance, driving client acquisition and retention, and ensuring strong governance, risk management, and compliance.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES 1. Business Strategy & Growth Develop and execute the strategic plan for the Wealth Management business across the assigned region. Drive monthly, quarterly, and annual business targets covering AUM/volume, market share, revenue and turnover. Identify new market opportunities and develop strategies for sustainable regional growth. Monitor business performance and implement corrective actions to improve productivity and profitability. Develop scalable and cost-effective distribution models to accelerate business expansion.
2. Wealth Management & Client Acquisition Lead the acquisition, development, and retention of HNI/UHNI clients. Supervise Wealth Managers and Relationship Managers in building long-term client relationships. Drive customer acquisition, wallet share expansion, cross-selling, and client retention. Maintain high standards of customer experience and satisfaction. Monitor customer attrition and implement appropriate retention strategies. 1
3. Product & Business Development Identify opportunities for development and enhancement of wealth management products and services. Work with internal stakeholders to implement solutions tailored to evolving client requirements. Support product innovation, proposition development, and successful regional implementation. Strengthen the overall wealth management proposition through market and customer insights.
4. Distribution & Channel Management Develop and expand distribution channels, including DSA and other strategic channels. Optimize cost of acquisition while maintaining quality business growth. Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders. Identify opportunities to increase distribution reach and regional penetration.
5. Performance & MIS Management Establish and monitor key performance indicators for the region. Ensure availability of accurate and timely MIS, dashboards, and management reports. Track manpower productivity and identify opportunities for operational improvement. Review regional performance against targets and implement action plans where required.
6. Team Leadership & Talent Management Lead and manage Cluster Heads, Wealth Managers, and Relationship Managers across the region. Provide strategic direction, coaching, mentoring, and performance management. Build a high-performance culture focused on accountability, collaboration, and customer-centricity. Drive recruitment, training, development, and grooming of high-potential talent. Develop succession plans for critical leadership positions. Manage employee productivity and control avoidable attrition.
7. Risk, Compliance & Governance Implement effective risk management practices across regional wealth operations. Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements, internal policies, ethical standards, and governance frameworks. Identify, assess, and mitigate operational and business risks. Ensure strong controls around customer onboarding, documentation, transactions, and business processes. Promote a culture of compliance and responsible wealth management.
8. Financial & Operational Management Ensure achievement of collection and financial targets within defined timelines. Monitor operational efficiency, profitability, and cost management. Ensure timely processing, approvals, and disbursement of customer-related financial transactions wherever applicable. Conduct regular performance reviews of regional teams and business units.
2 REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Graduate/Postgraduate degree in any discipline. 7–12 years of relevant experience in Wealth Management, Private Banking, Financial Services, NBFC, Banking, or related industries. Strong experience in regional business leadership and team management. Proven track record of managing HNI/UHNI relationships and driving wealth business growth. Strong understanding of wealth products, distribution, client acquisition, and retention. Experience managing Cluster Heads / Relationship Managers / Wealth Managers is highly preferred.

3 IDEAL CANDIDATE PROFILE: The ideal candidate will be a senior wealth management professional with strong regional leadership experience, a proven ability to build and scale HNI/UHNI businesses, and a strong track record of managing large frontline teams. Candidates who combine strategic business thinking, strong client relationships, distribution expertise, people leadership, and disciplined risk/compliance management will be preferred.
