Role Overview
The Admission Counselor is responsible for managing the complete admission lifecycle—counseling, follow-ups, conversions, and enrollment. This is a target-driven role with strong incentives. The position does not involve lead generation; all leads are provided by the organization. The emphasis is on effective engagement, accurate guidance, and high conversion rates.
Key Responsibilities
1. Counseling & Lead Handling (Leads Provided)
- Engage with prospective students and parents through calls, walk-ins, emails, and digital channels.
- Conduct structured counseling sessions to understand academic goals and recommend suitable programs.
- Provide accurate information on curriculum, fee structure, eligibility criteria, and admission timelines.
- Maintain systematic follow-ups to ensure efficient lead nurturing and conversion.
2. Admissions & Enrollment Management
- Guide students through the entire application and enrollment process.
Verify all required documents and ensure compliance with institutional guidelines. Coordinate entrance tests, interviews, and orientation activities.
- Maintain accurate, updated records in the CRM and admissions systems.
3. Conversion & Target Achievement
- Achieve weekly and monthly admission targets consistently.
- Optimize the given lead pool to maximize conversion opportunities.
- Prepare regular reports on lead status, follow-ups, and conversion performance.
Required Qualifications & Skills
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in any discipline; a postgraduate qualification is an advantage.
Experience
1–3 years in admissions counseling, inside sales, customer engagement, or education sector roles. Experience in target-driven sales environments preferred.
Skills
- Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal abilities.
Demonstrated capability to influence decisions and convert inquiries into enrollments. Proficiency in CRM tools, MS Office, and documentation processes.
