Full job description

Bigger Vacations & Ventures LLP is looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant to join our team. The ideal candidate should have strong knowledge of accounting principles, bookkeeping, taxation, financial management, and statutory compliance.

The selected candidate will be responsible for managing day-to-day accounting activities, maintaining accurate financial records, handling GST and Income Tax-related compliance, and ensuring timely completion of financial and statutory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

Handle day-to-day accounting and bookkeeping activities.
Maintain accurate financial records and accounts.
Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable.
Prepare and maintain invoices, vouchers, bills, and other financial documents.
Perform bank reconciliations and monitor cash flow.
Prepare financial statements, reports, and other accounting records.
Handle GST filing, GST returns, and GST-related compliance.
Handle Income Tax filing and related compliance requirements.
Manage TDS calculations, deductions, returns, and statutory compliance.
Ensure timely payment and filing of applicable taxes and statutory returns.
Maintain proper documentation and records for all financial transactions.
Assist with audits and coordinate with external auditors, Chartered Accountants, and other financial professionals when required.
Monitor expenses and provide management with financial information and reports.
Ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards and statutory requirements.
Perform other accounting and finance-related duties as assigned by the management.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in accounting or a similar role.
Strong knowledge of accounting principles and bookkeeping.
Must have knowledge and experience in GST filing and GST compliance.
Must have knowledge and experience in Income Tax filing and related compliance.
Knowledge of TDS calculations, filing, and statutory compliance.
Proficiency in accounting software and MS Excel.
Good knowledge of financial reporting and bank reconciliation.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Good organizational and time-management skills.
Ability to handle confidential financial information responsibly.
Good communication and coordination skills.

Preferred Skills

Experience in independently handling accounts and financial records.
Familiarity with accounting software such as Tally or similar accounting software.
Ability to manage multiple accounting and financial tasks while meeting deadlines.
Knowledge of current taxation and statutory compliance requirements.
