We are looking for a creative and detail-oriented Junior Web Designer to join our team in Mohali. This opportunity is ideal for candidates who have recently completed a web design, UI/UX, or related internship and are looking to begin their professional career in web design.
The ideal candidate should have a good understanding of website design principles, responsive layouts, and UI/UX fundamentals, along with hands-on experience using tools such as Figma, Photoshop, or similar design software.
You will work closely with senior designers, developers, SEO specialists, and project managers to create modern, responsive, and user-friendly websites for clients across different industries.
Key Responsibilities
- Design modern, clean, and user-friendly websites and web pages.
- Create website layouts, landing pages, banners, and other digital design assets.
- Convert Figma or other design concepts into responsive web layouts.
- Create wireframes, mockups, and prototypes using Figma or similar design tools.
- Develop responsive layouts using basic HTML and CSS.
- Ensure designs work effectively across desktop, tablet, and mobile devices.
- Collaborate with developers to ensure designs are implemented accurately.
- Assist with improving the UI/UX and visual appearance of existing websites.
- Make design updates and revisions based on feedback from senior designers and project managers.
- Maintain consistency in typography, spacing, colors, layouts, and overall visual design.
- Optimize images and design assets for website use.
- Assist with website banners, graphics, landing pages, and other design requirements.
- Stay updated with current web design and UI/UX trends.
- Learn and adopt new design tools, techniques, and development practices.
Required Skills & Experience
- Freshers with relevant internship experience are encouraged to apply.
- Completed an internship in Web Design, UI/UX Design, Graphic Design, or a related field.
- Basic knowledge of HTML5 and CSS3.
- Hands-on experience with Figma or similar UI/UX design tools.
- Basic understanding of responsive web design.
- Good understanding of UI/UX fundamentals.
- Knowledge of typography, spacing, alignment, colors, and visual hierarchy.
- Good attention to detail and an eye for clean, modern design.
- Ability to understand design requirements and implement feedback.
- Strong willingness to learn and develop professionally.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
Good to Have
- Knowledge of Bootstrap or Tailwind CSS.
- Basic knowledge of JavaScript.
- Familiarity with WordPress or other CMS platforms.
- Experience with Adobe Photoshop or Illustrator.
- Understanding of SEO-friendly web design.
- Basic knowledge of website accessibility.
- Experience creating landing pages or website designs during an internship or academic project.
- Familiarity with design systems and reusable UI components.
- Portfolio, Behance/Dribbble profile, personal website, or internship projects.
Education
- Bachelor's degree/diploma in Web Design, UI/UX, Graphic Design, Computer Science, IT, or a related field is preferred.
- Candidates from relevant web design/UI/UX courses or certification programs are also welcome to apply.
Portfolio Requirement
Candidates should provide a portfolio or examples of their work.
Internship projects, academic projects, personal projects, Behance/Dribbble profiles, or personal websites are acceptable.
