Job Description:

Job Responsibilities:

Interact closely with Business Leaders and Product Team to design, develop and implement an overall organizational data strategy that is in line with business processes. These data strategies include data model designs (Conceptual, Logical and Physical), implementation and management of Data Warehouses / Data Lakes / Data Lakehouse and Data Analytics Systems.
Identifying data sources, both internal and external, and build complex data ingestion, data integration and ETL strategy that is aligned with organizational data / analytical needs.
Create and maintain a fluid, end-to-end vision for how data will flow through the organization across products, internal and external systems, and users’ interaction with the data elements.
Produce and enforce Database Development standards, Data Governance standards, Master Data standards, Data Quality / Integrity standards and Data Standardization across development teams and enterprise systems / products.
Setup and manage data access control matrix for all relevant stakeholders across all data assets within the enterprise systems / products.
Collaborate with Business Leaders and Product Team to define and implement actionable metrics, KPIs and data visualizations dashboards and reporting capabilities keeping in view a self-service “Analytics-as-a-Service” model.
Assess and recommend improvements to enhance / performance tune existing database structures, queries, ETL processes and data visualization processes to enable performance and overall scalability and availability.
Work along with core IT Team in setting up backup / replay, BCP / DR processes, and database administration tasks to align to ISO compliance and external auditors’ requirements.

Essential Requirements:

Overall 15+ years of experience out of which at least 12+ years of experience as a Head of Analytics or Data Architect.
At least 10+ years of experience in building and managing Terabyte size dataset using database technologies like MySQL, Microsoft SQL, MongoDB, Apache Cassandra, Redis etc.
At least 10+ years of hands-on experience in writing optimized code using PL/SQL, NoSQL, Python, R etc.
At least 10+ years of experience in building complex data ingestion pipelines using ETL tools like Informatica PowerCenter, Apache Airflow, SSIS, Infosphere DataStage, Talend Open Studio etc.
At least 10+ years of experience building business facing data visualization using tools like Tableau, SSRS, PowerBI, Sisense, Qlik, Looker, Chart.JS, D3.JS etc.
At least 5+ years of experience building OLAP models using tools like CubeJS, SSAS, OBIEE etc.
At least 5+ years of experience in managing large (multi-terabyte) Enterprise Data Warehouse that integrates many diverse data sources, technologies, and products.
Experience building Data Lakehouse using Delta Lake on Apache Spark will be an added advantage.
Understanding of predictive modelling, NLP and text analysis, Machine Learning, GenAI platforms will be an added advantage.
Must be passionate to self-learn, un-learn and re-learn new concepts / technologies and bring innovation / ideas forward.
Must have ability to deal with ambiguity and change.
Must have ability to self-manage, plan, and execute tasks with minimum supervision.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
