Role Overview
We are looking for a strong, hands-on Quality Engineer to join LogiQlink’s AI-first Quality Engineering practice.
This is not a traditional manual QA role or a people-management position. You will work across automated and manual testing, building and maintaining automated coverage while also performing exploratory, regression, integration, and end-to-end testing where appropriate. The role requires someone comfortable working with applications, APIs, authentication, test data, CI/CD workflows, reporting, troubleshooting, and integrated systems.
You will work alongside senior Quality Engineering leadership and engineering teams while independently owning assigned testing and automation work. The broader quality direction and automation architecture may be established by senior engineers, but you will be expected to understand technical problems, build reliable coverage, investigate failures, and follow issues through.
We are looking for someone with strong engineering fundamentals who is willing to continue learning as the work evolves. Prior experience designing automation frameworks or leading a Quality Engineering function is not required, although there will be opportunities over time to take on more advanced technical responsibilities based on strong delivery and demonstrated capability.
Key Responsibilities
Automation Engineering
- Build, maintain, and improve automated tests across UI, API, and integrated end-to-end workflows.
- Work within established automation frameworks and contribute to their improvement as applications and delivery needs evolve.
- Create and maintain reusable fixtures, page and service abstractions, API clients, configuration utilities, test-data utilities, and reporting components.
- Follow established standards for test isolation, retries, parallel execution, logging, error handling, naming, and project structure.
- Work with environment configuration and secret-management patterns across development, integration, staging, and production-like environments.
- Integrate and maintain automated tests within GitHub workflows and CI/CD pipelines.
- Diagnose flaky tests and framework failures rather than masking instability with retries.
- Participate in automation code reviews and contribute to reliable automation for assigned workflows and risks.
- Determine whether scenarios are best validated through UI automation, API testing, integration testing, or hands-on testing.
Manual and Exploratory Testing
- Perform functional, regression, exploratory, integration, and end-to-end testing.
- Translate user stories, acceptance criteria, API specifications, and technical documentation into meaningful test coverage.
- Identify issues and risks that may not be captured through automated coverage.
- Validate positive, negative, boundary, authorization, concurrency, idempotency, and error-handling scenarios.
- Investigate workflows manually when automation alone does not provide sufficient confidence.
- Identify missing acceptance criteria, test data, API details, permissions, dependencies, and observability requirements.
- Investigate failures before reporting them and distinguish between application defects, automation failures, environment problems, authentication issues, and test-data problems.
- Document defects clearly with reproduction steps, evidence, and relevant technical context.
API and Integration Testing
- Develop and maintain automated API tests in Playwright.
- Use Postman and comparable tools for exploration where useful while maintaining automated coverage in Playwright.
- Validate REST APIs, asynchronous integrations, workflow orchestration, and system-to-system data movement.
- Test authentication and authorization patterns, including OAuth, client credentials, token refresh, roles, and permissions.
- Validate schemas, status codes, headers, business rules, data persistence, and downstream effects.
- Design coverage beyond the happy path, including negative, boundary, authorization, contract, idempotency, concurrency, and error-handling scenarios.
- Build and maintain reusable API clients and token-management utilities.
- Test integrations across enterprise platforms and connected applications and investigate failures across system boundaries.
- Use mocks, service virtualization, controlled test data, or dependency isolation where full end-to-end testing is impractical.
AI-Assisted Quality Engineering
- Use AI coding agents and copilots to support test design, implementation, debugging, repository exploration, analysis, and documentation.
- Identify potential coverage gaps and support root-cause analysis using AI-assisted tools where useful.
- Review and validate AI-generated tests before they are committed or executed in delivery pipelines.
- Maintain responsibility for the quality and correctness of all assigned work.
Quality Engineering and Delivery
- Participate in story refinement and contribute to test coverage and automation planning early in the development lifecycle.
- Work closely with developers, architects, platform leads, DevOps engineers, business analysts, and Quality Engineering leadership.
- Maintain traceability between requirements, tests, defects, and release evidence where required.
- Provide clear reporting on test coverage, execution results, defects, risks, blockers, and release readiness.
- Raise concerns when testing approaches are insufficient for the level of risk involved.
- Take ownership of assigned testing and automation work and follow issues through investigation and resolution.
Required Qualifications
- 4–6 years of strong hands-on experience in Quality Engineering, software testing, or test automation.
- Experience across both automated and manual testing.
- Hands-on experience with Playwright in a real delivery environment.
- Experience with Playwright fixtures, projects, configuration, tracing, parallel execution, and API testing.
- Experience building and maintaining automated tests through multiple development and release cycles.
- Strong API testing experience with REST services and integrated systems.
- Ability to design coverage beyond the happy path, including negative, boundary, authorization, contract, resilience, and data-validation testing.
- Experience with authentication and authorization patterns relevant to application and API testing.
- Experience with Git, GitHub, pull requests, branching strategies, and automated pipelines.
- Proficiency in at least one programming language.
- Strong technical, troubleshooting, and debugging skills.
- Experience working with reusable test utilities, API clients, test data, and environment configuration.
- Ability to investigate failures across applications, APIs, automation, authentication, test data, environments, and delivery pipelines.
- Ability to perform hands-on manual and exploratory testing when required.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Willingness to learn new technologies, systems, and testing approaches.
- Ability to maintain 4 hours of overlap with US business hours.
Preferred Qualifications
The following experience is useful but not required:
- Salesforce applications, data models, security models, connected applications, or integrations.
- MuleSoft or comparable integration platforms.
- Flowable or comparable workflow and process orchestration platforms.
- Testing workflows that cross UI, API, orchestration, integration, and data layers.
- Postman collections, OpenAPI specifications, contract testing, or API discovery tools.
- Behavior-driven development, Gherkin, or structured acceptance-test patterns.
- GitHub Copilot, Claude Code, MCP servers, or other AI-assisted development tools.
- Automated quality gates within CI/CD pipelines.
- Accessibility, performance, security, or observability testing.
- AI agents, generative AI applications, or nondeterministic workflows.
- Consulting or professional services environments.
What Strong Candidates Will Demonstrate
Strong candidates should be prepared to discuss their own hands-on experience, including automated tests they have personally built or improved, how they approach testing a new workflow, how they investigate failed or flaky tests, and how they distinguish between application defects, automation failures, environment issues, authentication problems, and test-data problems.
Candidates should also be comfortable explaining how they test APIs beyond successful requests and responses, validate workflows across multiple applications and integrations, approach manual and exploratory testing alongside automation, work with authentication and environment configuration, and use AI coding agents without accepting unverified generated code.
Working Model and Location
This can be remote, with Indore MP preferred.
Working Hours and Collaboration
The role supports projects involving US-based stakeholders and engineering teams. Candidates must be able to maintain approximately four hours of overlap with US business hours to support planning, technical discussions, troubleshooting, and delivery activities. The exact schedule may vary based on project requirements.

This role begins as a contract engagement within LogiQlink’s AI-first Quality Engineering practice. We are looking for a strong engineer who wants to work on complex systems, deepen their technical capability, and take on increasing responsibility as the work evolves.
- The initial engagement is contract-based, with the opportunity for longer-term involvement and increasingly complex technical responsibilities based on the needs of the work, individual performance, and the continued growth of the practice.
Pay: ₹50,977.20 - ₹99,477.56 per month
