Job Description

We're looking for a detail-oriented and motivated Assistant Manager - Housekeeping to join our dynamic team in Mumbai, India. In this role, you'll play a crucial part in maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness, organization, and guest satisfaction across our facility. As an Assistant Manager, you'll lead, inspire, and support a dedicated housekeeping team while ensuring seamless operations and exceptional service delivery. Supervise, train, and mentor housekeeping staff to ensure consistent adherence to cleaning standards, safety protocols, and company policies
Conduct regular quality inspections of all areas to verify cleanliness, maintenance, and compliance with organizational standards
Manage daily housekeeping operations, including task assignments, scheduling, and resource allocation to optimize efficiency
Maintain accurate inventory records of cleaning supplies, equipment, and materials; coordinate procurement as needed
Address guest concerns and complaints with empathy and professionalism, implementing corrective actions promptly
Collaborate with other departments (front desk, maintenance, management) to ensure seamless coordination and exceptional guest experiences
Develop and implement customized training programs to enhance staff skills, performance, and career development opportunities
Monitor and analyze housekeeping metrics, including turnaround times and quality scores, to identify improvement opportunities
Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations across all housekeeping operations
Prepare detailed reports on departmental performance, staffing, and operational challenges for management review
Foster an inclusive, supportive team environment that encourages open communication and continuous improvement
Respond flexibly to operational challenges and adapt strategies to meet evolving organizational needs

Qualifications

**Required Qualifications:**

High school diploma or equivalent
Minimum 3-5 years of housekeeping experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or assistant manager capacity
Proven expertise in housekeeping operations, cleaning protocols, and facility maintenance standards
Strong leadership and team management skills with the ability to motivate and develop staff
Excellent organizational and time management abilities
Proficiency in quality control and attention to detail
Strong interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written)
Ability to work flexible schedules, including weekends and holidays as required
Problem-solving mindset with decisive decision-making capabilities
Knowledge of health, safety, and sanitation regulations

**Preferred Qualifications:**

Housekeeping management certification or equivalent professional credential
Experience with housekeeping management software or property management systems
First Aid and CPR certification
Budget management and cost control experience
Experience in the hospitality industry
Bilingual proficiency (English and Hindi or regional languages)
Demonstrated track record of improving operational efficiency and reducing costs
Experience implementing sustainable and eco-friendly cleaning practices
