About the Role
One of our esteemed clients in the battery industry is looking for a qualified Chartered Accountant with strong experience in finance, accounting, financial reporting and business performance management to join our organisation.
The ideal candidate should have experience in a manufacturing environment and possess a strong understanding of financial deliverables, management reporting, financial controls and performance improvement.
Candidates with exposure to IPO preparation, IPO readiness, SME IPO, listing processes, due diligence, financial restructuring and related activities will have an added advantage.
The role will involve working closely with senior management to strengthen financial processes, improve business performance and support the organisation's growth and potential capital-market initiatives.
Key Responsibilities1. Financial Management & Reporting
- Manage and oversee day-to-day finance and accounting functions.
- Prepare and review monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements.
- Ensure accuracy and timely closure of books of accounts.
- Prepare MIS and management reports for senior management.
- Analyse financial performance, profitability, costs and business trends.
- Develop financial dashboards and key financial performance indicators.
2. Business Performance & Financial Analysis
- Analyse business performance and identify areas for improvement.
- Monitor revenue, margins, working capital, cash flows and operating costs.
- Support management in budgeting, forecasting and financial planning.
- Develop financial models and scenario analysis for business decisions.
- Provide actionable financial insights to improve profitability and operational efficiency.
3. Manufacturing Finance
- Preferably manage finance functions within a manufacturing environment.
- Understand manufacturing costing, inventory valuation and production-related financial controls.
- Monitor product costing, gross margins and cost variances.
- Analyse material, labour and overhead costs.
- Support cost optimisation and productivity improvement initiatives.
- Work closely with operations, procurement, sales and senior management on financial performance.
4. IPO / SME IPO Readiness
- Support the organisation in preparing for IPO / SME IPO and related financial requirements.
- Ensure financial statements and records are IPO-ready and compliant with applicable requirements.
- Coordinate with statutory auditors, internal auditors, consultants, merchant bankers and other professional advisors.
- Support financial due diligence and documentation requirements.
- Assist in identifying and closing gaps in financial processes, controls and reporting.
- Support preparation of financial information required for IPO-related activities.
- Assist management in strengthening internal controls, governance and financial reporting systems.
5. Compliance & Audit
- Ensure compliance with applicable accounting, taxation and corporate regulations.
- Coordinate with statutory auditors and other professional advisors.
- Manage audit requirements and ensure timely submission of required information.
- Strengthen internal financial controls and accounting processes.
- Identify financial and operational risks and recommend corrective measures.
6. Working Capital & Cash Flow Management
- Monitor receivables, payables, inventory and overall working capital.
- Prepare and monitor cash-flow projections.
- Improve cash conversion and working capital efficiency.
- Support treasury and fund-management activities.
7. Strategic Finance Support
- Work closely with the senior management team on strategic financial decisions.
- Provide financial inputs for expansion, investment and business-growth initiatives.
- Evaluate business proposals and investment opportunities from a financial perspective.
- Support long-term financial planning and organisational growth.
Required Skills & Competencies
- Strong accounting and financial reporting knowledge.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong understanding of financial statements and financial analysis.
- Good knowledge of manufacturing finance and costing.
- Strong MS Excel and financial modelling skills.
- Experience in MIS and management reporting.
- Good understanding of taxation and statutory compliance.
- Strong communication and stakeholder-management skills.
- Ability to work independently and interact effectively with senior management.
- High level of financial discipline, accuracy and attention to detail.
Preferred / Added Advantage
Candidates with any of the following experience will be preferred:
- Manufacturing industry experience.
- SME IPO / Main Board IPO exposure.
- IPO readiness / pre-IPO preparation.
- Financial due diligence.
- Experience working with merchant bankers.
- Experience coordinating with statutory auditors and IPO consultants.
- Experience in preparation of financial statements for IPO purposes.
- Internal controls / SOP implementation.
- ERP implementation or finance-process automation.
- Experience in improving profitability and financial performance.
- Experience with listed / pre-IPO companies.
Qualification & Experience
Mandatory:
- Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA).
- Minimum 5 years of relevant post-qualification experience.
Preferred:
- Experience in a manufacturing organisation.
- Exposure to IPO / SME IPO / capital-market activities.
- Experience in a finance leadership or senior finance role.

Compensation
CTC: As per market standards and commensurate with the candidate's experience, competency, current compensation and overall suitability for the role.
