Full job description

We are seeking a dynamic and confident individual to join our team who is willing to travel between Tanzania (Africa) and Kochi as required. The company will bear all travel-related expenses.

Key Responsibilities – Junior Accountant

1*. Daily Accounting Operations Record daily accounting transactions in the accounting system accurately and on a timely basis. * Prepare and post journal entries, payment vouchers, receipt vouchers, and adjustment entries. Proper allocation & posting of expenses and revenues to appropriate accounts and cost centers.

2. Accounts Payable and Receivable Process supplier invoices and ensure proper verification and approvals. Follow up on outstanding receivables and coordinate with internal departments and insurance companies to ensure timely collection. Maintain accurate aging reports for payables and receivables.

3*. Insurance Claim Assistance Receive insurance claim documents from relevant departments. * Scrutinize claim documents to ensure completeness and accuracy. Coordinate with concerned departments for corrections or additional documents where required. Submit verified claim documents to the respective department for final verification and processing. Maintain proper tracking of submitted claims and follow up for timely settlement.

4. Payroll & HR Data Verification Support Review and verify monthly attendance reports, leave records, overtime hours, and related HR data. Coordinate with HR to resolve discrepancies in attendance and leave balances.

5. Month-End Closing Activities Assist in month-end closing by preparing schedules, reconciliations, and supporting documents. Ensure all transactions for the period are recorded accurately and completely. Assist in preparation of monthly financial reports and MIS reports as required. Documentation and Filing Maintain systematic and organized filing of invoices, vouchers, and supporting documents in both physical and electronic format. Ensure documents are easily accessible for audit and internal review purposes

6*. Audit and Compliance Support Assist in compiling financial data, schedules, and supporting documents for internal and external audits. * Ensure compliance with company accounting policies, procedures, and applicable regulatory requirements.

7*. General and Administrative Responsibilities Maintain confidentiality of financial and organizational information. * Ensure adherence to company policies, procedures, and internal controls. Support the finance department with administrative and accounting tasks as assigned. Assist in process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and accuracy in accounting operations.
