Job Summary
The PGT Science Teacher is responsible for teaching science subjects to senior secondary students in accordance with the prescribed curriculum. The teacher will create an engaging learning environment, conduct practical sessions, assess student performance, and prepare students for board and competitive examinations while promoting scientific inquiry and critical thinking.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, prepare, and deliver effective science lessons aligned with the school curriculum.
- Teach the assigned subject (Biology, Physics, Chemistry, or General Science) using innovative teaching methods.
- Develop lesson plans, worksheets, assignments, and assessments.
- Conduct laboratory practicals while ensuring strict adherence to laboratory safety procedures.
- Evaluate student performance through classwork, projects, practicals, tests, and examinations.
- Provide academic guidance, mentoring, and remedial support to students.
- Prepare students for board examinations and competitive entrance examinations, where applicable.
- Integrate technology and digital learning resources into classroom instruction.
- Maintain accurate records of attendance, assessments, and student progress.
- Communicate student progress effectively with parents during meetings and conferences.
- Participate in curriculum development, faculty meetings, workshops, and school events.
- Support co-curricular activities such as science exhibitions, Olympiads, clubs, and educational trips.
- Stay updated with developments in science education and teaching methodologies.
Qualifications
- Master's degree (M.Sc.) in the relevant Science subject (Biology, Physics, Chemistry, or equivalent).
- Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) from a recognized institution.
- CTET/STET or other applicable teaching qualifications (preferred, as per school policy).
Experience
- Minimum 2–5 years of teaching experience at the senior secondary level.
- Experience teaching CBSE, ICSE, State Board, IB, or Cambridge curriculum is preferred.
- Experience preparing students for board examinations and competitive exams is an advantage.

Pay: ₹11,334.21 - ₹36,371.56 per month
