About the Role
As a MERN Stack Developer, you'll build and maintain the web and backend systems that power our platform — from customer-facing applications to internal tools and APIs. You'll work closely with the founding team and mobile developers, taking features from idea to production. This is a hands-on role with real ownership over what you build.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain full-stack applications using MongoDB, Express.js, React, and Node.js
- Develop and integrate RESTful APIs and third-party services (payment gateways, maps, notifications, etc.)
- Build responsive, performant front-end interfaces in React
- Design and manage database schemas and queries in MongoDB
- Integrate payment flows (e.g., Razorpay) including capture, refunds, and webhooks
- Deploy and maintain applications on cloud infrastructure (AWS)
- Write clean, maintainable, well-documented code
- Debug, optimize, and improve performance across the stack
- Collaborate with the team on architecture, features, and product decisions
Requirements
- Strong proficiency in JavaScript (ES6+) and the MERN stack
- Solid experience with React (hooks, state management, component design)
- Hands-on experience building backend APIs with Node.js and Express
- Good understanding of MongoDB and database design
- Experience integrating REST APIs and third-party services
- Familiarity with Git and version control workflows
- Understanding of authentication, security, and best practices
Nice to Have
- Experience with React Native or mobile development
- Experience with AWS (EC2, Route 53, S3) or other cloud platforms
- Experience with payment gateway integrations (Razorpay, Stripe)
- Familiarity with CI/CD, TypeScript, or Next.js
- Startup or early-stage product experience
