Position Overview
We are seeking a seasoned, enterprise-grade Lead Data Architect to drive the modern data architecture strategy for our financial services clients. This role will bridge the gap between complex financial business landscapes and modern cloud data architectures. The architect will own the structural blueprint of data ecosystems such as data lakes, curated data warehouses, and data product platforms-ensuring technical scalability, performance, and seamless cross-platform integration.
Key Responsibilities
Architectural Blueprinting Design end-to-end Technical Reference Architectures across hybrid cloud and big data platforms (such as Azure and Cloudera) to deliver scalable, reusable Data Products optimized for high-velocity business consumption.
Framework Engineering Blueprint reusable, scalable enterprise data frameworks covering Metadata-Driven Ingestion, Data Quality, SCD (Type 1/2) processing, and robust data security.
Semantic & API Design Define data access patterns and mapping specifications for the Semantic Layer to feed downstream analytical tools (e.g., Qlik, Power BI) and API endpoints.
Modeling Oversight & Support Review, validate, and sign off on Conceptual, Logical, and Common Information Models (CIM), providing architectural guidance to the Data Modelers as required.
Governance Alignment Collaborate with Enterprise Architecture and IT Security working groups to design Target Operating Models (TOM) that embed automated lineage, access matrices, and data cataloging workflows.
Required Skills & Experience
Experience 10 - 12 years
Financial Services Domain Expertise Deep architectural experience across multiple banking and financial services domains (such as Treasury, Wealth Management, Corporate Banking, or Risk & Compliance). Must have a proven track record of handling financial data flows, multi-source system integrations, and bank-grade data security requirements.
Technical Stack Mastery Proven experience architecting enterprise data platforms utilizing modern ecosystem tools, including Azure (Synapse, Databricks, Event Hub) and Cloudera/Hadoop (Hive, Spark, Iceberg/Delta Lake).
Data Governance & Cataloging Strong familiarity with enterprise governance suites, particularly Informatica Enterprise Data Catalog (EDC), Information Governance modules, or cloud-native catalog tools.
