Summary:
As an ADAS System Engineering / Validation Engineer, you will be responsible for analyzing ADAS system requirements, creating test scenarios, developing validation strategies, and executing test cases on HIL, SIL, simulation, and vehicle-level environments. Your typical day will involve working with system architects, feature owners, software teams, test teams, and validation stakeholders to ensure ADAS features meet functional, safety, performance, and quality expectations.
You will be involved in ADAS feature validation across functions such as Adaptive Cruise Control, Lane Keep Assist, Automatic Emergency Braking, Forward Collision Warning, Blind Spot Detection, Traffic Sign Recognition, Park Assist, Driver Monitoring, and other safety-critical driving assistance features. The role requires strong understanding of ADAS features, vehicle communication protocols, HIL test benches, test automation, defect debugging, and scenario-based validation methodologies
Roles & Responsibilities:
1. Analyze ADAS system requirements and derive validation scope, test scenarios, and test cases.
2. Create and execute HIL-based validation for ADAS ECUs and domain controllers.
3. Validate ADAS functions such as ACC, AEB, LKA, LDW, FCW, BSD, TSR, and Park Assist.
4. Develop and execute automated test scripts using CANoe, CAPL, Python, MATLAB, or equivalent tools.
5. Perform functional, integration, regression, fault-injection, and robustness testing.
6. Simulate vehicle, sensor, and environmental conditions in HIL environments.
7. Validate communication protocols including CAN, LIN, Ethernet, SOME/IP, and UDS Diagnostics.
8. Analyze test results, network traces, logs, and diagnostic data to identify defects.
9. Support defect triage, root cause analysis, and issue resolution with development teams.
10. Ensure traceability between requirements, test cases, execution results, and defects.
11. Prepare validation reports, test documentation, and release evidence.
12. Support ASPICE-compliant verification and validation processes.
13. Ensure compliance with Functional Safety (ISO 26262), SOTIF (ISO 21448), and Cybersecurity requirements.
14. Collaborate with system, software, calibration, and vehicle validation teams.
15. Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies, design reviews, and technical discussions
Professional & Technical Skills:
1. Strong experience in ADAS System Engineering, Validation, and Verification.
