Bring your energy to Aggreko as Development Test Engineer. In this role you will build, test and validate Aggreko’s new & existing products/systems, 3rd party products including both gas and diesel powered generators, packaged distribution transformers, future technologies and controls to ensure they meet required specification, standards and global regulations.

What you’ll do:
Take ownership for the validation testing of new & existing Aggreko products/systems, 3rd party products and new technologies to ensure the equipment and systems meet the necessary design and performance standards.
Prepare for the execution of tests by sourcing the necessary materials and equipment, as well as setting up the test cell.
Ensure testing is executed in compliance with procedures and regulations.
Record, resolve and communicate technical problems that are identified during the build and test process. Work closely with the design teams to design out the manufacturing and operational issues identified during prototype build and test.
Document test/validation process and results. Analyse results to establish conformance against agreed requirements and generate reports to be shared with engineering and product line teams.
Assist in the development of standard work instructions and retrofit documents that can be adopted by the production and operations teams.
Support validation testing at Manufacturing, operations sites/depots and other facilities including vendor locations. Establish a reputation for expert technical advice.
You are:
Education & Foundation: Degree in engineering, coupled with a recognized apprenticeship in an electrical/mechanical discipline or equivalent related experience.
Specialized Testing Experience: Proven experience in equipment and system testing, specifically involving power generators, temperature control equipment, and battery energy storage systems.
Diagnostic & Problem-Solving Acumen: The ability to understand and interpret schematic drawings, follow logical fault identification processes, and demonstrate strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
Communication & Interpersonal Skills: Excellent interpersonal and relationship skills, with the capacity to communicate clearly and effectively with all levels of internal and external stakeholders.
Adaptability & Team Collaboration: Flexibility to manage fluctuating workloads and diverse problems, maintain a positive and enthusiastic attitude towards engineering challenges, and effectively contribute as a team player.
