Job Description – Junior Accountant

Job Title: Junior Accountant
Location: Garia, Kolkata
Job Type: Full-Time | Permanent
Salary: Upto ₹15,000 per month
Experience: 0–2 Years (Freshers with relevant knowledge are encouraged to apply)
Reporting To: Senior Accountant / Director

Job Summary

We are looking for a sincere, motivated, and detail-oriented Junior Accountant to assist our accounts department with day-to-day accounting and administrative tasks. The ideal candidate should have a basic understanding of accounting principles, Tally, GST, and Microsoft Excel, and be eager to learn and grow within the organization.

Key Responsibilities

· Assist in maintaining daily accounting entries in Tally ERP 9 / Tally Prime.

· Record purchase, sales, payment, receipt, and journal vouchers.

· Prepare invoices, debit notes, and credit notes.

· Maintain and organize accounting records, files, and supporting documents.

· Assist in GST data preparation and reconciliation.

· Support TDS, PF, ESI, and Professional Tax compliance activities.

· Assist in payroll preparation and salary processing.

· Perform bank and cash book reconciliations.

· Maintain vendor and customer ledgers.

· Prepare basic MIS reports using Microsoft Excel.

· Coordinate with banks, vendors, and other departments whenever required.

· Carry out other accounting and administrative duties assigned by the management.

Required Qualifications

· Bachelor's Degree or pursuing final year in Commerce (B.Com), Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

· Freshers or candidates with up to 2 years of accounting experience are welcome to apply.

· Basic knowledge of Tally ERP 9 / Tally Prime.

· Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and MS Office.

· Basic understanding of GST and accounting concepts.

· Good numerical ability and attention to detail.

· Willingness to learn and work in a team-oriented environment.

· Good communication and organizational skills.
