Job description:

Monitor appropriate use and care of equipment, materials and facilities.
Provide in- class small group support to assigned students.
Create a classroom environment that is conducive to learning.
Care for and effectively assist students with special concerns.
Analyze data to determine student progress and achievement.
Work with individual and small groups of students to support mathematics instruction.
Encourage students to set and maintain standards of classroom behavior.
Keep accurate grade books, records and reports pursuant to school or district policy.
Plan and carry out instruction, instructional activities and prepare learning materials.
Attend staff meetings and serve on staff committees as required.
Maintain appropriate records and follow required procedures and practices.
Work with students to develop and monitor academic goals for both short- term and long-term success.
Receptive to receiving coaching on a regular basis with administrators and teacher trainers.
Strive to implement by instruction and action the district's philosophy of education and instructional goals and objectives.
Evaluate and report on the progress of students according to board policy.
Prepare for classes assigned and show written evidence (lesson plan) of preparation upon request of administrator.
Maintain a positive, accepting attitude in working with students.
