JOB DESCRIPTION:

§ Job Location: Pune.

§ Salary: As per company standards.

§ Experience: 10 - 15 yrs of relevant professional work experience.

§ Education: LLB. LLM preferred.

v JOB PURPOSE:

We are seeking a senior legal professional who can operate independently with minimal supervision. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience in litigation and IP management, and a proven ability to work and coordinate effectively with law enforcement agencies, external counsel, and regulatory bodies. The role also requires solid expertise in contract review, negotiation, and overall contract management.

v DETAILS:

Ø Advisory & Documentation Management:

Drafting, reviewing and negotiating agreements and other documents that are complex, high-risk, and strategic in nature with domestic and foreign entities.

Closely work with external counsels for seeking legal opinions, drafting / reviewing documents on commercial and policy matters.

Implementing legal documentation management system.

Advising internal stakeholders on legal and regulatory issues including compliance with local and international payments legislation and regulation.

Assisting and working closely with the business, product and other functions in structuring transactions and documentation from a legal and compliance perspective.

Advising functional teams on legal and regulatory issues that may arise in the course of their day-to-day functioning.

Assisting in review and creation of legal documents, policies, procedures and systems.

Ø Handling of disputes, Litigation & IPR Management:

Handling legal disputes against the organization and coordinating with the Law Enforcement Agencies and other regulatory bodies.

Litigation management for corporate and consumer litigation/s including initiating legal proceedings for recovery suits and PSS Act.

Coordinate with external counsels for seeking legal opinions, drafting / reviewing documents on commercial and policy matters and in relation to ongoing litigation.

Formulating a SOP for handling of various segments of disputes for the organization.

Manage the Intellectual Property (IP) portfolio for the organization. Support the business and marketing teams in getting IP registrations, renewals, etc.

Ø Research & Administrative

Keep abreast with, review and update internal stakeholders with the recent changes in laws and regulations as may be applicable for the Organization.

Preparation of reports / committee papers in relation legal function to keep senior management abreast of critical projects, issues and litigations.
