About the Company

Established in 1910, Hari Chand Anand (HCA) is one of India's largest and most established sales, service, and distribution companies for industrial sewing machines, garment automation equipment, and textile machinery. With a nationwide network spanning Delhi, Kolkata, Bangalore, Chennai, Tirupur, Ludhiana, Jaipur, Kanpur, and Indore, HCA represents its own flagship brand (DUKE) alongside leading global brands such as Highlead, Kansai Special, Merrow, and Hikari. HCA serves garment manufacturers, leather and upholstery units, home textile producers, and embroidery/quilting businesses across India.

Role Summary

The Sales Executive will be responsible for driving revenue growth for HCA's Kolkata branch by identifying, developing, and managing customer relationships across the garment manufacturing, textile, and industrial sewing machinery segments. The role requires a proactive, target-driven individual who can combine technical product knowledge with strong relationship management to grow HCA's market share in the East India region.

Key Responsibilities

Sales & Business Development

● Identify and generate new business leads within garment manufacturing units, textile mills, leather/upholstery producers, and allied industries in and around Kolkata and the broader East India region.

● Conduct regular field visits to existing and prospective customers to understand their machinery requirements and recommend suitable HCA/DUKE products or partner brands (Highlead, Kansai Special, Merrow, etc.).

● Achieve and exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets assigned by management.

● Prepare and deliver quotations, proposals, and product demonstrations to prospective clients.

Account Management

● Maintain and strengthen relationships with existing customers to ensure repeat business and long-term loyalty.

● Follow up on after-sales requirements including machine servicing, spare parts orders, and warranty support in coordination with the service team.

● Track customer feedback and machine performance issues, escalating to technical/service teams where needed.

Market Intelligence & Reporting

● Monitor competitor activity, pricing trends, and new product developments in the industrial sewing machinery and textile automation space.

● Maintain accurate records of sales calls, customer interactions, and pipeline status using CRM/reporting tools or formats prescribed by the company.

● Submit regular sales reports, forecasts, and market feedback to the Branch/Regional Manager.

Coordination

● Liaise with the internal service, spares, and logistics teams to ensure timely delivery, installation, and commissioning of machines at customer sites.

● Coordinate with the accounts team for invoicing, payment collection, and credit control as per company policy.

● Represent HCA at trade fairs, exhibitions, and industry events as required.

Candidate Requirements

Education

● Graduate in any discipline; a degree/diploma in Textile Technology, Mechanical Engineering, or Business Administration is an added advantage.

Experience

● 1–5 years of experience in B2B sales, preferably in industrial machinery, textile/garment equipment, capital goods, or allied technical products.

● Freshers with strong communication skills and willingness to learn technical products may also be considered for junior positions.

Skills & Competencies

● Strong communication and interpersonal skills in English, Hindi, and Bengali.

● Ability to understand and explain technical product features to non-technical buyers.

● Self-motivated with a target-oriented approach and strong negotiation skills.

● Willingness to travel extensively within Kolkata and surrounding industrial clusters.

● Basic computer proficiency (MS Office, email, CRM tools).

● Valid driving license preferred (two-wheeler/four-wheeler).
