Why We Need You

FitFyles is out to change the world—one person at a time. As a Visual Designer at FitFyles, your designs will be seen by and make a difference in the lives of millions of people. They’ll even help save lives. You’ll bring simplicity and clarity to health information and connections, and encourage health engagement through compelling design. You’ll work closely with Engineers and Product Managers to create designs that are simple but engaging and simple for the user, focusing on creating intuitive interactions and compelling, pleasing visual designs. Responsibilities include:

Define and build the revolutionary applications that actually help save lives
Bring simplicity, clarity, and ease of use to health – a field filled with complexity, confusion, and uncertainty
Design novel visual interfaces, user flows, and compelling interactions, and develop, communicate, and implement the best-in-class user experience and associated UI framework on a range of products
Develop, communicate, and implement the best-in-class user experience and associated UI framework on a range of products
Advocate responsibly and effectively for users in a fast-paced startup environment, imparting day-to-day design leadership that fosters a shared understanding of the user-centric intersection between design, content, business, and engineering
Manage UX research and testing processes to drive the development and communication of design guidelines, patterns, and libraries that will be used to make a difference, and track and analyze metrics to inform design/UX optimization efforts
Oversee close coordination with the product management team to develop a shared vision of exceptional user flows, wireframes, prototypes, and final graphics

What You’ve Achieved

BA/BS or graduate degree from a top school or program, with an exceptional academic record (design or related degree preferred)
Professional background as an interactive / UX designer in mass-market web and mobile products
Strong user experience skill set including strategy, information architecture, design aesthetic, and usability testing
A compelling and engaging portfolio that demonstrates out-of-the box thinking, clean design principles, and exceptional user flows and experiences
Proven understanding of interaction design concepts and a unique sense of design principles
Expert skill level in Photoshop and Illustrator
Mobile-first approaches into your daily workflow (preferred)
Intimate understanding of HTML5, CSS3, and Javascript (preferred)
