Full job description

Job Description:

Business Development

Identify and develop new business opportunities in HVAC & MEP projects.
Generate leads through cold calling, customer visits, networking, consultants, contractors, and online platforms.
Build relationships with architects, consultants, builders, industries, hospitals, and corporate clients.
Conduct regular market surveys to identify upcoming projects and business opportunities.

Sales Activities

Meet monthly and quarterly sales targets.
Arrange client meetings, technical presentations, and product demonstrations.
Understand customer requirements and coordinate with the estimation team for techno-commercial proposals.
Prepare quotations and follow up until order finalization.
Negotiate commercial terms within company guidelines.

Customer Relationship Management

Maintain regular contact with existing and prospective customers.
Ensure timely response to customer enquiries.
Handle customer complaints and coordinate internally for prompt resolution.
Build long-term relationships to generate repeat business.

Tender & Proposal Support

Identify tender opportunities from government and private sectors.
Assist in collecting tender documents and preparing bid submissions.
Coordinate with estimation, design, and procurement teams for technical and commercial inputs.

Sales Reporting

Maintain daily sales visit reports.
Update CRM with lead status, follow-ups, customer interactions, and opportunities.
Submit weekly sales reports and monthly sales forecasts.
Maintain an updated database of customers, consultants, contractors, and project information.

Market Intelligence

Monitor competitor activities, pricing, and market trends.
Identify new market segments and potential clients.
Collect customer feedback and share insights with management.

Required Skills

Basic understanding of HVAC systems, including VRF, DX, Chillers, Ventilation, Ducting, and MEP services.
Strong communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
Ability to understand technical specifications and BOQs.
Knowledge of MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
Basic knowledge of AutoCAD and reading engineering drawings is preferred.
Familiarity with CRM software is an advantage.
Strong customer relationship management skills.

Experience

1–2 years of experience in HVAC, MEP, Building Materials, Industrial Equipment, Engineering Products, or Technical Sales.
Freshers with excellent communication skills and strong technical knowledge may also be considered.
Number of new leads generated.
Number of client meetings conducted.
Value of enquiries generated.
Quotation-to-order conversion ratio.
Monthly and quarterly sales achievement.
Revenue generated.
Customer satisfaction and retention.
Timely follow-up and CRM updates.

Preferred Candidate Profile

Self-motivated with a strong passion for sales.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Target-oriented and willing to travel extensively.
Ability to build long-term business relationships.
Positive attitude with strong learning ability.
Valid two-wheeler driving licence and willingness to travel within the assigned territory.
