Job OverviewWe are seeking a highly technical Senior Solar Design Engineer with 4+ years of dedicated experience to join our team at our Noida office. In this role, you will lead the engineering design and bankable simulation workflows for Commercial & Industrial (C&I) rooftop and Utility-Scale Ground-Mount solar projects. Your primary tool will be PVsyst, where you will be responsible for validating energy yield assessments, optimizing system layouts, and finalizing complex electrical designs for major project deployments.Key Responsibilities
- Advanced PVsyst Modeling: Lead all PVsyst simulations, including horizon tracking, complex 3D near-shading scene creation, bifacial module tuning, and generation of P50/P90 yield reports.
- Loss Tree & Yield Optimization: Conduct granular analysis of system losses, including thermal, mismatch, light-induced degradation (LID), soiling, and AC/DC wiring losses to optimize plant performance.
- Electrical Design Engineering: Design complex electrical Single Line Diagrams (SLDs), execute inverter string configuration, determine DC/AC overloading ratios, and manage cable sizing calculations.[1]
- Engineering Layouts: Oversee and generate precise 2D/3D structural plant layouts, module containment plans, and civil grading alignments using AutoCAD.
- Meteo Data Analysis: Import, analyze, and synthesize meteorological data from industry-recognized databases (e.g., SolarGIS, Meteonorm, Meteocontrol) to match site conditions.
- Technical Documentation & Approvals: Prepare comprehensive Bills of Materials (BOM), cable schedule calculations, and detailed engineering report packages required for investor approval and discom net-metering compliance.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum 4+ years of core solar engineering experience specifically focused on C&I and utility-scale ground-mount projects.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Renewable Energy, or Civil Engineering.
- Core Software Expert: Advanced, expert-level proficiency in PVsyst for detailed meteorological data handling, string configuration, and variant comparison.
- CAD Software: High proficiency in AutoCAD for engineering drawings, structural blueprints, and electrical single-line schematics.
- Technical Expertise: Deep knowledge of modern utility-scale solar technologies, including bifacial modules, central and string inverters, and single-axis tracker mechanics.
- Location: Based at or willing to commute daily to our Noida office.
Pay: ₹35,000.00 - ₹45,000.00 per month
