ERP & Business Applications Manager
Location: Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu
Department: Information Technology / Digital Transformation
Reporting To: CEO / Senior Management
Experience: 6–10 years of relevant experience
Employment Type: Full-Time
This is not a conventional IT infrastructure/networking role. The candidate will work primarily on ERP, programming, databases, business applications, data analytics, automation, and process improvement.
The candidate does not necessarily need to be an expert in every technology, but must have strong programming fundamentals and the ability to learn and work across ERP technologies.

Role Objective
The ideal candidate should be strong in programming and databases, highly data-centric, and capable of understanding both business processes and technology.
Key Responsibilities
1. ERP Ownership & Management
- Take end-to-end ownership of the company's ERP system and business applications.
- Understand existing ERP modules, workflows, configurations, databases, and integrations.
- Monitor ERP performance and identify system/process gaps.
- Coordinate with ERP vendors/developers and ensure timely resolution of issues.
- Manage ERP upgrades, enhancements, patches, and new module implementation.
- Ensure ERP availability, reliability, data accuracy, and user adoption.
2. ERP Module Development & Enhancement
Work closely with business departments to develop and improve ERP modules covering areas such as:
- Sales & Order Management
- Purchase & Procurement
- Inventory & Warehouse
- Yard Operations
- Production / Processing
- Dispatch & Logistics
- Finance & Accounts
- Customer Management
- HR & Payroll
- MIS & Management Reporting
The candidate should be capable of understanding how each business process works and how it should be represented inside the ERP.
3. Programming & Development
- Develop, customize, modify, and troubleshoot ERP-related applications.
- Write and maintain SQL queries, stored procedures, scripts, reports, and integrations.
- Develop APIs and system integrations where required.
- Automate repetitive business processes.
- Identify opportunities to replace manual Excel/WhatsApp-based processes with system-driven workflows.
- Work with developers/vendors to implement complex ERP requirements.
4. Database Management
- Take ownership of ERP database structure and data quality.
- Develop SQL queries for business analysis and reporting.
- Identify duplicate, missing, incorrect, or inconsistent data.
- Maintain data integrity across ERP modules.
- Support database optimization and performance improvement.
- Develop automated data extraction and reporting mechanisms.
5. Data & MIS Analytics
The candidate must have a strong data-centric mindset.
Responsibilities include:
- Build management MIS reports.
- Develop Power BI dashboards and analytical reports.
- Convert ERP data into meaningful business insights.
- Create KPI dashboards for Sales, Finance, Purchase, Warehouse, HR, and Management.
- Develop automated reports instead of manual report preparation.
- Analyse trends, exceptions, bottlenecks, and business performance.
- Provide management with actionable data insights.
6. Business Process Automation
- Study existing business processes and identify inefficiencies.
- Convert manual processes into digital workflows.
- Develop automated approval systems.
- Automate alerts, notifications, reports, and management dashboards.
- Improve inter-departmental data flow through ERP integration.
- Reduce dependency on manual Excel-based reporting.
7. ERP Support & Issue Resolution
- Act as the primary escalation point for ERP-related issues.
- Analyse root causes rather than only providing temporary solutions.
- Establish issue classification and resolution SLAs.
- Track recurring ERP problems and implement permanent solutions.
- Train key users on new modules and system changes.
- Maintain an ERP issue and enhancement tracker.
8. Business Requirement Analysis
Work directly with department heads and business users to understand requirements.
The candidate should be able to:
Business Problem → Requirement → System Design → Development → Testing → Implementation → User Training → Monitoring
- Conduct requirement discussions with users.
- Prepare Business Requirement Documents (BRDs).
- Translate business requirements into technical specifications.
- Coordinate User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
- Ensure the final solution actually solves the business problem.
9. ERP Integration
Manage integration between ERP and other business systems such as:
- HRMS
- CRM
- Power BI
- Banking/payment systems
- E-commerce/customer platforms where applicable
- Attendance systems
- Other internal applications
Ensure accurate and timely data movement between systems.
10. ERP Security & Access
- Manage ERP user roles and access rights in coordination with management.
- Ensure users have access based on their responsibilities.
- Maintain segregation of duties.
- Monitor unauthorized access and unusual system activities.
- Maintain proper system change records.

What This Role Is NOT
This position is not primarily responsible for:
- Network administration
- LAN/WAN maintenance
- Firewall administration
- Hardware maintenance
- Routine desktop support
- CCTV/network infrastructure
BISCO has a separate team/function for network and infrastructure management.
The primary focus of this role is:
ERP + Programming + Database + Data + BI + Automation + Business ApplicationsQualification
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, Computer Applications, Engineering, or related field.
- MCA / M.Tech / MBA-IT / relevant postgraduate qualification will be an advantage.

Candidates with strong hands-on ERP development experience may be considered irrespective of industry.
Pay: ₹50,000.00 - ₹60,000.00 per month
