About the Role

Join ShftX's dynamic Marketing Team as an Advertising Manager – E-commerce, where you will own the strategy, execution, and performance of paid advertising across ShftX's e-commerce channels.

You will lead ShftX's advertising charter across Amazon Ads, Flipkart Ads, and other emerging e-commerce platforms, translating business objectives into scalable and profitable advertising programs.

The role involves managing advertising budgets and P&L, building and mentoring a team of Performance Marketing Executives, and working closely with Category, Supply Chain, Design, Product, and Analytics teams to drive visibility, sales, profitability, and market share across ShftX's e-commerce business.

This is a leadership role for someone who understands the dynamics of marketplace advertising, inventory, product-level performance, bidding, campaign optimization, and data-driven decision-making and is ready to take ownership of strategy, team management, and P&L accountability.

Key Responsibilities1. Advertising Strategy & P&L Ownership

Own the end-to-end advertising strategy and budget/P&L across Amazon Ads, Flipkart Ads, and other e-commerce advertising platforms.
Define platform-wise, category-wise, and SKU-wise advertising spend allocation.
Set and monitor ACOS, ROAS, TACOS, revenue, and profitability targets.
Develop monthly and quarterly advertising growth plans aligned with business and revenue objectives.
Identify and test new advertising formats, placements, and marketplace opportunities.

2. Campaign Management & Optimization

Oversee the planning, execution, and continuous optimization of sponsored listings, banner ads, display ads, and other platform-native advertising formats.
Develop bidding, budget pacing, keyword, targeting, and placement strategies.
Optimize campaigns based on SKU, category, platform, inventory availability, seasonality, and customer demand.
Monitor campaign performance and ensure advertising spend is efficiently allocated.
Align ad spend with inventory availability to minimize wasted spend on out-of-stock SKUs.
Develop advertising strategies for new product launches to accelerate visibility and sales velocity.

3. Performance Analysis & Reporting

Own weekly, monthly, and quarterly advertising performance reporting for leadership.
Track key metrics including CTR, CPC, CPA, Conversion Rate, ACOS, TACOS, ROAS, and Revenue Contribution.
Build dashboards and MIS to monitor advertising efficiency and platform-wise performance.
Analyze campaign, SKU, category, and platform-level performance.
Identify performance gaps and implement corrective actions.
Translate data insights into clear strategic recommendations for Category, Supply Chain, Sales, and Business teams.

4. Team Leadership

Build, manage, and mentor a team of Performance Marketing Executives.
Set individual and team goals and KPIs.
Review team performance and provide regular coaching and feedback.
Upskill team members on marketplace advertising platforms, campaign optimization, and best practices.
Establish SOPs for campaign setup, optimization, quality checks, and reporting.

5. Ad Creative & Content Strategy

Partner with Design and Content teams to develop effective advertising creatives and product assets.
Define creative strategies for product ads, banners, storefronts, and other marketplace placements.
Drive structured A/B testing of creatives, copy, targeting, and campaign strategies.
Analyze creative performance and continuously optimize for better CTR and conversion.

6. Cross-Functional Collaboration

Work closely with Category, Supply Chain, Design, Product, Sales, and Analytics teams.
Align advertising plans with inventory availability, pricing, promotions, and product launches.
Partner with Analytics teams to ensure accurate tracking, attribution, and measurement.
Coordinate with Amazon, Flipkart, and other marketplace account managers to identify growth opportunities.
Represent the advertising function in leadership reviews and marketplace business discussions.

Qualifications & Experience

MBA/PGDM in Marketing, Digital Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field.
Bachelor's degree in BBA, B.Com, Marketing, or a related discipline may also be considered.
4–7 years of relevant experience in Performance Marketing, E-commerce Advertising, Marketplace Advertising, or Digital Marketing.
At least 1–2 years of experience in a team-leading or managerial role preferred.
Proven hands-on experience managing Amazon Ads and Flipkart Ads.
Experience managing significant advertising budgets and performance targets.
