UI/UX Designer – Medical Devices

Company: Invitronics MedTech Private Limited
Location: Kasarwadi, Pune, Maharashtra
Job Type: Full-time

About the Role

Invitronics MedTech is looking for a UI/UX Designer to design intuitive, user-friendly interfaces for our range of medical devices and healthcare products.

The ideal candidate should have strong experience in UI/UX design, Figma, user flows, wireframing, prototyping, production ready with a strong understanding of usability and product design.

Medical device / healthcare experience is highly preferred.

Key Responsibilities

Design UI/UX for medical devices and healthcare products.
Create user flows, wireframes, prototypes and high-fidelity UI designs.
Develop consistent design systems, components, icons, typography and visual guidelines.
Design touchscreen and interactive interfaces for medical equipment.
Focus on usability, readability, accessibility and clear information hierarchy.
Design different interaction states including normal, warning, alarm, error, confirmation and recovery states.
Understand user requirements and convert them into practical product interfaces.
Work closely with biomedical, firmware, hardware, mechanical and product teams.
Collaborate with engineers to ensure designs can be implemented effectively on actual devices.
Review and improve designs based on prototype and user testing.
Maintain design documentation and specifications for development.

Required Skills

2–5 years of relevant UI/UX experience.
Strong proficiency in Figma.
Experience with:
Wireframing
User flows
Prototyping
High-fidelity UI design
Design systems
Interaction design
Usability testing
Strong understanding of typography, layout, color, spacing and visual hierarchy.
Experience designing touchscreen or interactive interfaces.
Ability to work closely with engineering and product-development teams.
Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
Good portfolio demonstrating real-world UI/UX projects.

Preferred / Bonus Skills

Previous experience in medical devices, healthcare, MedTech or medical software.
Experience designing interfaces for:
Patient monitors
Diagnostic equipment
Laboratory/POC devices
Imaging equipment
Infusion devices
Other medical equipment
Understanding of medical-device usability and human factors.
Knowledge of IEC 62366 / usability engineering.
Experience working in an ISO 13485 environment.
Experience with embedded or hardware-based UI.
Familiarity with LVGL, TouchGFX or other embedded GUI frameworks is a plus.
Experience designing interfaces for users operating under time-critical or high-pressure conditions.

The ideal candidate understands that designing a medical device interface is different from designing a website or normal mobile application, where clarity, safety, usability and efficient workflows are critical.

Interaction Design
HCI
Computer Science / IT
Engineering
Any relevant field

A strong portfolio and practical experience will be given more importance than the specific degree.
