A QC role is all about making sure products meet the required standards before they reach customers. The exact duties shift a bit by industry, but here’s the core version:

*Job Title*: Quality Control Executive / QC Inspector / QC Analyst

*Main Responsibilities*

- *Inspection & Testing*: Check raw materials, in-process goods, and finished products against specs

- *Quality Standards*: Follow SOPs, GMP, ISO, or company quality guidelines to ensure compliance

- *Documentation*: Maintain QC records, test reports, batch records, and non-conformance reports

- *Sampling*: Collect samples for lab testing and do physical/visual checks on production lines

- *Issue Handling*: Identify defects, root causes, and report to QC/QA lead. Suggest corrective actions

- *Equipment*: Calibrate and maintain testing instruments, microscopes, gauges, etc.

- *Coordination*: Work with production, warehouse, and QA teams to prevent quality issues

*Common Requirements*

- *Education*: Diploma/B.Sc in Science, Chemistry, Pharmacy, Engineering. For pharma/food: relevant degree preferred

- *Skills*: Attention to detail, knowledge of QC tools, basic lab testing, documentation, MS Office

- *Experience*: 0-3 years for entry level. 3+ years for senior QC roles

- *Other*: Good communication, ability to work in shifts, knowledge of ISO 9001 / GMP / HACCP is a plus
