Role Summary

We are looking for an experienced ServiceNow SPM Developer with strong hands-on expertise in Strategic Portfolio Management (SPM) and the ServiceNow platform. The ideal candidate will have experience implementing and customizing Demand Management, Project Portfolio Management (PPM), Resource Management, Agile Development, and Financial Planning modules while leveraging CSDM, CMDB, and Foundation Data to deliver scalable enterprise solutions.

You will work closely with Solution Architects, Product Owners, Business Analysts, and business stakeholders to develop, configure, and optimize ServiceNow SPM solutions that align portfolio strategy with business execution.

What will your role look like?

Design, develop, configure, and implement ServiceNow Strategic Portfolio Management (SPM) solutions.
Configure and customize Demand Management, Project Portfolio Management (PPM), Resource Management, Agile Development, and Financial Planning modules.
Develop workflows, Flow Designer automations, Business Rules, Client Scripts, Script Includes, UI Policies, UI Actions, and custom applications using ServiceNow best practices.
Configure and maintain CMDB, CSDM, and Foundation Data to support enterprise portfolio and project management processes.
Develop integrations with enterprise applications using REST APIs, SOAP APIs, IntegrationHub, and middleware platforms.
Build dashboards, reports, and Performance Analytics solutions to support portfolio governance and executive decision-making.
Collaborate with Business Analysts, Product Owners, and Solution Architects to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions.
Support platform upgrades, enhancements, defect resolution, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Troubleshoot application issues and optimize platform performance.
Participate in code reviews, technical documentation, testing, deployment, and release management activities.
Ensure all development complies with ServiceNow coding standards, governance policies, and security best practices.

5+ years of hands-on ServiceNow development experience.
Proven implementation experience in ServiceNow Strategic Portfolio Management (SPM).
Strong hands-on expertise in:
Demand Management
Project Portfolio Management (PPM)
Resource Management
Agile Development
Financial Planning
Strong understanding of CSDM, CMDB, and Foundation Data concepts.
Experience configuring Flow Designer, Business Rules, Client Scripts, Script Includes, UI Policies, UI Actions, and Service Catalog.
Experience building integrations using REST APIs, SOAP APIs, IntegrationHub, and enterprise middleware.
Experience creating reports, dashboards, and Performance Analytics solutions.
Strong JavaScript development skills and knowledge of ServiceNow platform architecture and development best practices.
Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
Good communication and stakeholder management skills.
Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.

Mandatory Certifications

ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA)
ServiceNow Certified Application Developer (CAD)
ServiceNow Certified Implementation Specialist – Strategic Portfolio Management (CIS-SPM)

Good-to-have skills

Experience with ITOM, including CMDB, Discovery, and Service Mapping.
Exposure to Performance Analytics, executive dashboards, and portfolio reporting.
Experience with Now Assist, AI-powered capabilities, and intelligent automation.
Knowledge of ITSM, ITAM, and enterprise integrations.
Experience with App Engine, IntegrationHub, and Automation Engine.
ITIL Foundation or Agile/SAFe certifications are an added advantage.
