About the Role
We are looking for an experienced and creative Wedding Designer with 5+ years of experience in wedding décor, event designing, and venue styling. The candidate will be responsible for managing the complete design and décor process of wedding events, from conceptualization and planning to execution at the venue.
The ideal candidate should have strong creative skills, knowledge of wedding trends, excellent vendor coordination abilities, and the capability to independently manage multiple aspects of wedding designing.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop creative and attractive wedding décor concepts and themes according to the client's requirements and budget.
- Handle complete wedding designing, including stage décor, entrance décor, mandap, floral arrangements, tables, seating areas, lighting, backdrops, and overall venue styling.
- Prepare design concepts, mood boards, layouts, and visual presentations for clients.
- Visit wedding venues and understand the space, measurements, layout, and design requirements.
- Coordinate with vendors, decorators, florists, fabricators, lighting teams, and other event suppliers.
- Supervise the complete décor setup and ensure execution matches the approved design.
- Manage multiple wedding projects simultaneously while ensuring timely completion.
- Work closely with clients to understand their preferences, expectations, and vision.
- Suggest suitable color combinations, themes, flowers, fabrics, furniture, props, lighting, and décor elements.
- Coordinate with the event and operations teams for smooth execution.
- Monitor the quality of materials and décor work at the venue.
- Manage design-related budgets and ensure cost-effective execution.
- Conduct site inspections before and during events.
- Troubleshoot design and execution issues during setup and events.
- Keep updated with the latest wedding décor trends, themes, designs, and event concepts.
- Ensure the venue is completely ready as per the approved design and timeline.
- Maintain professional communication with clients and vendors throughout the project.
Required Skills
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in wedding designing, event décor, wedding planning/designing, or a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of wedding décor and venue designing.
- Excellent creative and visualization skills.
- Good understanding of colors, fabrics, flowers, lighting, furniture, and decorative elements.
- Strong vendor management and negotiation skills.
- Excellent communication and client-handling skills.
- Ability to manage projects independently from concept to execution.
- Good time-management and organizational skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet strict event deadlines.
- Knowledge of design software such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, Photoshop, CorelDRAW, or similar tools will be an advantage.
- Strong attention to detail and a passion for creating unique wedding experiences.
