Role Overview
Arya Omnitalk Wireless Solutions and Syntel Telecom are seeking an experienced and commercially driven Financial Controller to lead the finance function across both organizations. The role will be responsible for financial governance, business partnering, budgeting, statutory compliance, treasury management, internal controls, taxation, and strategic financial planning.
The ideal candidate should possess strong expertise in financial management within manufacturing, telecom, system integration, or technology-driven organizations and should be capable of driving financial discipline while enabling business growth.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Planning & Business Control
- Lead annual budgeting, forecasting, and long-range financial planning.
- Drive monthly financial reporting, MIS, and variance analysis for business leadership.
- Monitor profitability across business units, products, projects, and regions.
- Develop financial models to support strategic business decisions and investments.
- Recommend cost optimization initiatives to improve margins and operational efficiency.
Financial Reporting & Compliance
- Ensure timely preparation and finalization of standalone and consolidated financial statements.
- Ensure compliance with Indian Accounting Standards (Ind AS), Companies Act, and other statutory requirements.
- Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing activities.
- Coordinate with statutory auditors, internal auditors, and regulatory authorities.
Taxation & Regulatory Compliance
- Oversee Direct and Indirect Tax compliance including GST, TDS, Income Tax, and Transfer Pricing (where applicable).
- Ensure timely filing of all statutory returns.
- Drive tax planning while ensuring complete regulatory compliance.
Treasury & Working Capital Management
- Manage cash flow forecasting and liquidity planning.
- Optimize working capital through effective receivable, payable, and inventory management.
- Maintain banking relationships and oversee fund management.
- Monitor credit limits, borrowing, and financial risk.
Internal Controls & Governance
- Strengthen financial controls, SOPs, and governance frameworks.
- Identify financial risks and implement mitigation strategies.
- Ensure compliance with internal policies and delegated authority matrices.
- Drive continuous improvement in financial processes and automation.
Commercial Finance
- Partner with Sales, Procurement, Operations, and Project teams on commercial decisions.
- Review pricing, project profitability, business cases, and contract financials.
- Monitor large project financial performance and revenue recognition.
- Support bid evaluation and commercial negotiations from a finance perspective.
Team Leadership
- Lead and mentor the finance and accounts team.
- Build a high-performance finance function focused on business partnership.
- Drive capability building and succession planning within the finance team.
Desired Candidate Profile
Education
- Chartered Accountant (CA) – Mandatory
- MBA (Finance) or CMA will be an added advantage.
Experience
- Minimum 15 years of progressive experience in Finance and Accounts.
- At least 5 years in a Financial Controller or senior finance leadership role.
- Experience in Telecom, System Integration, Manufacturing, Infrastructure Projects, Engineering, or Technology businesses is preferred.
- Experience working in multi-business or multi-entity organizations will be an advantage.
