Job Description — Tally Data Entry Executive

About the role

We are looking for a detail-oriented Tally Data Entry Executive to join our Client Servicing / Product team at Sofine Konsulence within Sofine Investment Group. The role will support our outsourced accounting services by maintaining accurate Tally data and bookkeeping records across multiple client accounts.

The ideal candidate should be comfortable working on Tally Prime, maintaining accurate accounting records, following client-specific processes, and coordinating with internal team members to ensure that client records are complete, accurate, and up to date.

This role is suited to someone who is organised, reliable, detail-oriented, and comfortable working with multiple clients and sets of financial records. Freshers with a willingness to learn are encouraged to apply.

Key responsibilities

Enter and maintain day-to-day accounting transactions in Tally Prime for multiple clients.
Record sales, purchases, receipts, payments, journal entries, and other accounting vouchers.
Prepare and maintain sales and purchase invoices, credit notes, and debit notes as required.
Maintain accurate ledger accounts, party balances, and supporting documentation for each client.
Assist with GST-related data entry, including HSN/SAC details, tax rates, and invoice information.
Prepare and organise accounting data required for GSTR-1, GSTR-3B, and other GST returns.
Perform basic bank, cash, and ledger reconciliations for client accounts.
Review entries for accuracy and ensure that transactions are recorded in the correct ledgers and under the correct client account.
Maintain organised records of invoices, bills, receipts, bank statements, and other accounting documents.
Communicate with relevant internal team members regarding pending entries, documentation, and client requirements.
Track the status of work across multiple client accounts and ensure that assigned tasks are completed on time.
Maintain confidentiality and security of client financial information.
Assist with reports, data checks, documentation, and other operational tasks related to client accounting services.

Requirements

Basic knowledge of accounting principles and bookkeeping.
Knowledge of or willingness to learn Tally Prime.
Familiarity with or willingness to learn GST, accounting vouchers, ledgers, and invoice processing.
Good attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
Basic knowledge of MS Excel and data management.
Ability to work with multiple clients and manage records systematically.
Good organisational, communication, and follow-up skills.
Ability to work independently while coordinating effectively with the wider team.
Ability to maintain confidentiality of client and financial information.
Willingness to learn new processes, tools, and client-specific requirements.

Preferred: Coursework, internship, or practical exposure to bookkeeping, accounting services, outsourced finance operations, or working with multiple client accounts.

Qualifications

12th pass / Graduate in Commerce, Accounting, or a related field.
Freshers are welcome to apply.
Relevant training or practical knowledge of Tally, bookkeeping, accounting operations, or client servicing will be an advantage.
